As for GW - might try it, but I was never really a big fan of the series. We shall see, we shall see...

Anyway, I'm off PvP I guess, too old for that and don't really have time for anything competetive.

You should really check out the walkthrough videos posted on gametrailers. 9 parts with about 5min each. Link: http://www.gametrailers.com/game/guild-wars-2/11916?show=Features#Content It shows off the starting area of the human race and a mid-lvl region for the Charrs.

As for the game, I think it looks awesome. Revolutionary? No, not really. It does look like it combines a lot of what other MMOs have / are doing, which is good imo. The dynamic system looks badass, and if they can improve on what Warhammer Online did with it, then it'll be a fun experience to level with. I also hope that some of the events are challenging enough to where you have a good chance of failing if you are bad, but get a good reward for a challenging risk. Anyway, looks good, hopefully it will be good.

Although WoW is still a fun game with a bunch of friends, GW's solo-able nature makes it definitely better if you don't have many friends into MMOs. Hopefully the district system will still be in place so you can play with anyone. Also 8 classes, with Ranger, Warrior, Necromancer and Elementalist revealed. I wonder what the other 4 are (maybe the others from Prophecies and 1 from each Factions and Nightfall?)

Get 5 wolf pelts -> get 10 wolf pelts -> get 15 wolf pelts... WTF is that? You call that "questing"?

I'd rather skip the game if its going to be 100% PvE content. If not, cutting away at the "getting discovered for being really good" time period by finding previously skilled GW1 players would be good. That period blew chunks.

I always thought PvP was one of GW1's strongest points. Would be a major disappointment for them to not live up to those expectations.
