BW1 was very laggy, but they got their shit right for the other two.
Before the first event it was already really laggy, even if the servers were/looked empty. The week before the first BW I disconnected 10-15 times while doing a single heart, it was just me and another guy near it (constant 1000ms+).
Expect the game to run smooth on release, but the login server will hurt a bit. Just a quick info, they have done over 20 stress tests already (that I received e-mails for), and it is always like this.

You could just pick up the telephone, and get lag.

And the "AMD Dual Core thingy" is your processor, not your graphics card. They're completely separate things. The three big things that determine your performance are your processor, RAM, and graphics card. When asking to verify system requirements, these are the three big things about your computer that you MUST mention.

Thanks, I'm not really sure how to see that, but I believe it's an NVidia graphics card. Not sure what. It's just what came with my laptop.

If you have Windows 7 or Vista, type in "dxdiag" (without quotes) into the program search bar in the start menu. There should be a tab for display in the resulting window. There, you should find detailed info for your graphics card.

Does anyone know if there is going to be another stress test today or in the near future?

I've read forum posts from people who have video cards that are slightly better than yours, and their fps is almost unplayably low on the lowest settings. Your situation seems to be very unfortunate

No one knows anything until Arenanet decides to update their blog or Facebook with more information. Best thing to do is to just check their FB everyday and see if anything new popped up. They might do 1 or 2 stress tests until the 25th if we're lucky.

"Nuclear Launch Detected" won't show up, so I quit playing all together. Thanks for the advice though. Maybe I'll get a better computer someday.

You could update your video card so it plays GW2 for like $50 if even that, but you said you were using a laptop so thats sadly not an option.

I prefer puzzle games, like bejeweled.
