The rewards' names can be found by going to the Hall of Monuments calculator on the GW2 website ( http://hom.guildwars2.com) and either inputting a GW1 character name or clicking the "demo mode" link on the left side of the page. They're largely titles and cosmetic items, but there are armor pieces, weapons, and ranger pets as well. I don't believe there have been any specific details released regarding the items' specs, so I'm not sure exactly how much of an impact they will have on gameplay, if any. They could always just be alternate skins for weapons/armor, or they could be separate items with their own stats, etc. Unless of course it has been stated somewhere and I've just missed it.

They are mostly cosmetic, but really cool looking armor sets account wide along with weapons, masks, pets, titles, etc.
They won't give you any benefit besides looking cool and showing off your old achievements. I personally picked up GW1 because I wanted to see the lore and experience GW1 areas to see what they look like in GW2.

I really want to play GW1 again in preparation for this, but every time I log in I feel so alienated by the old graphics and UI etc. It's the same feeling I get when I load up BW after playing SC2. I hate this feeling because I know if I can just get past it, a brilliant game still awaits.

Honestly, the graphics all the way up on GW1 doesn't look as bad as I thought (just bought it a week ago). As long as you are looking at a bigger picture instead of a close up, the graphics are decent.
I am just doing it for 30/50 + the lore in prep for GW2, if I only did it for 30/50 I think it would feel like a shallow experience. I'm usually on if you need help or someone to talk to IGN is Ritualist Vanty (I hate having to make two word names).

30/50 is all you need for all the weapon/armor/pet unlocks in your HoM in GW2 (when you link accounts). Anything after that is just for titles and the prestige of those titles.
The armor set and weapons that you get for free look pretty sick and down the line will probably be pretty rare to see...I hope we can dye them as well.
Edit: If you read my last post before saying 30/50 it has a link to the GW2 unlocks you get.

Hmm, do you need to have Eye of the North to get HoM rewards? I only have prophecies/factions/nightfall.

Yea, the eye of the north outpost in the eye of the north expansion is where the hall of monuments is located and where you dedicate all your stuff.

Most of the points are earned by just spending money tbh. Get a character to do doasc or uwsc and get grinding!

All of our members play on US servers. Even the EU members that are online around 1-5pm EST play on the US servers.

People from different regions can play together. All they need to do is go to the international districts to meet up and start a group there.

Haha, same here. I get home from work, have that email, nearly choke on my water. Sadly, that word "shortly" is pretty much the only thing in that entire email I care about, though.
