phew!
Critting lvl 22 people for 3k in pvp lol As I was dueling in the main city, I was being crit'ed for over 4k sometimes and also dealing out 3.5-4k damage. I'm an archer.
Sorcs are a bit shit in the start, with the zerkers you can be critting for some rediculous numbers like 6k+ and just oneshot people lol

Yeah, it's a lot of fun trying to dodge the skill shots of other classes. I felt like if i could time my stun/jump backs right then I would just lay waste to zerkers.... But to even miss one timing it was like LAWL 2.5k damage and now you're knocked down so i'll finish you off. haha

Berserkers are really bad at 22 their movility is pretty lame, but they get some kind of charge at level 24 so I guess it will balance out.

So how many is playing the EU beta? Would be nice to get a group going since most of the pugs are horrible. SB is so easy you can do it with just few guys if you know what you're doing.
Leveling in group is also so much faster compared to solo leveling in this game it'd be nice to have people to level in next CBT.
|
yeah im up for grouping or getting a guild for the CBTs. is it possible to just get a custom chat channel in-game? would be easiest way to contact eachother
|
yeah u can make ur own ingame channel its really great

Omg ... Just got the beta , to then realise that the download is huge ... and to then realise CB 1 is over and i have to wait 1,5 weeks T_T

You can pre order the NA game for $5. Its cheap and worth it. Then you can play beta every weeekend.

I got one of those IGN keys. People have been saying for a long time that those keys only allow you into CBT1.
And indeed when I checked my account page after the CBT1 ended it said "deactivated" or inactive or whatever.
But now when i go to check it, it says my account is active and it lets me download the new patch. Am I wrong in thinking that this is just so I can provide feedback on the forums? Or does this also mean that I ahve access to all teh other closed betas as well?

I did that to get one ... but sadly CB 2 starts 02.03

Feel free to add me on EU im BrTarolg
Me and most of the guild i play with powerleveled to 22 and blued up on the first day Spent the rest of the time as a small group pvping randoms lol
But seriously pvp is so much fun in this, i LOVE how there is open PVP without any of that restriction or penalty bullshit, just straight up pvp I really hope whiners and carebares don't ruin the pvp server experience. People that whine should go roll PVE

Some (most?) people whine because they want a meaningful PvP system instead of a slowpaced quakelive, not because they're carebears. :p I personally hope they just add another server type, then everyone is happy.

The pvp so far in the beta haven't been all that exciting. There's no real risk/rewards system from pvp except you risk to get zerged by 30+ people if you flag in a somewhat populated area and there's no real incentive to pvp.
In other games you fight for bosses/mobs but with the channelsystem you don't really have to wait for mobs so there's just no reason to kill other players .
I did kill some people who tried to take my flowers/ore but even that is really really rare since no one really cared about gathering all that much (or the respawn was just too quick). Ended the beta with a 5 man group roaming the basilisk/naga mercenary areas killing groups of 3+. The current pvpsystem might just be up for testing but I really want to see some incentive for pvp other than for ones own amusement or I don't really think that people will pvp much outside duels/GvG and gankgroups farming lowbies/soloplayers.

I wish that PvP points were added and you could use them to buy special PvP buffs/potions but I can see how it could be abused.

Don't know if you're trolling or not but I just checked the rankings on PCBang and it's #2.
That's more people playing Tera than both BW and SC2 combined.

What rankings are you checking? I went to gametrics and they have the following ranks:
Sudden Attack FPS 15.10% Aion RPG 12.96% League of Legends RTS 9.48% FIFA Online 2 Sport 6.45% StarCraft RTS 5.50% Warcraft 3 RTS 5.49% Lineage RPG 3.03% Dungeon and Fighter RPG 2.40% World of Warcraft RPG 2.38% Terra RPG 2.22%
EDIT: I really want TERA to do well but from my personal experience it seems to be turning out like SWTOR did and the numbers seem to agree.

If you check gametrics, you can see they have barely managed to climb up to 10th rank by 2012-02-20 KST. http://www.gametrics.com/rank/Rank02.aspx

Serejaj ninja'd me, heh. Kind of difficult playing Tenhou simultaneously while trying to search appropriate sources T_T (I actually screwed up my hand by not paying any attention)
Btw calling out someone for trolling isn't very nice when you do not even give that person chance for rebuttal.

There's two sources for information on popularity of games in Korea. One is gametrics.com, which uses PC Bangs as their source metric. The other is GameNote, which uses computers at home as their source metric.
Gametrics is updated daily. So yes, Tera could be #2 one day and #10 the other day, depending on updates and such. Gamenote is weekly.
Gametrics also publishes a monthly ranking.

Rankings seem to be about the same on both websites. The Gamenote weekly puts TERA at #9 for this week.
Overall this does seem to indicate a downward trend in TERA playtime, but thanks for the clarification on gametrics being daily and having fluctuation in the rankings.
PS - Did you kill TERA, Milkis?
