It's a party vs party which is probably a new and cool pvp mode that many of us are not familar with. You can pretty much party up whoever you want and request pvp againts another party of 5. In this video, they are mixing it up and doing a tournament style. It's esentialy 1v1 format with winner stays on. normally as soon as battle countdown hits 0, everyone would go at eachother. this is a better example of how the system works. this will work for party of 2 upto party of 5. just form a group and challenge others !!!!! That's how Koreans PvPed in L2 and they used to broadcast the "matches" on MBC. But it's stupid. They never had any interest in actual, meaningful PvP which is the entire point of having open PvP. If you just want a side game, there should be arena for that. But real PvP should have benefits and consequences. The challenging crap lacks that. How is 5 seconds adequate? There's instant mounting, you can get away from anyone in 5 seconds. It's entirely a carebear mechanism. You didn't HAVE to flag in PvP. It was preferable if the other side was dumb enough to do it, but usually you had to just PK someone and rely on your clan to help you farm it off. People went red all the time. | ||

As I said before, it makes sense with the skill system and delivers some sort of balance between our PvE and PvP modes. They don't even see the 5 seconds, just the declaration, and it's not a lot of time as is. The only thing annoying really is the need to be within a rather short range. But you can always GvG or outlaw (though you'll get debuffs for that one which I suppose you won't like). Though it seems a little silly to complain about something that doesn't look like it'll even be in the international release and, you know, L2 is still there if you prefer. | ||
