Aion only took about 3-5 hours per level and that's pretty much spot on to what leveling in an MMO probably should be. Just because you can do 1-85 in WoW in less than 48 hours doesn't mean that's how things should be - namely because it's outright stupid to pay for leveling content if you're just going to blow through it. Endgame in nearly all MMOs is terrible these days and the leveling content is what actually makes the games enjoyable so it makes zero sense to blow through it so quickly. | ||

I played Aion some and I just didn't like not having anyone to play it with and I am hoping since there will be console controllers enabled in TERA that some of my Xbox friends/family will play. | ||

I quit playing for the reasons you listed, though. Everyone I know IRL just sits on consoles playing Call of Duty and won't touch PC games and most people I meet online end up randomly disappearing after a few months which basically means every game I play I'm essentially starting over as far as people to play with. This sucked in Aion because it was really hard to find a group of competent players to PvP with and ultimately I quit playing because of it. Actually, that's a major issue in pretty much any MMO as the majority of players are idiots. But games like Aion that focus more on PvP suffer from it even more. I'm hoping that, because of the targeting system in TERA, most of the bad players will get frustrated and quit playing - thus increasing the likelihood of being able to team up with random players and see some form of success from it. | ||
