"Classification" on MT. lancer is one of the best classes to solo and level imo. i got my lancer to 60 in 4 days, and gold was never a problem since you can run kn nm solo for gold which was and probably still is one of the top spots to farm.

And lancer is good if you like tanking. Easy to find a party for everything, can solo a lot of stuff. And leveling these days are way too easy anyway, ~50hours for any DPS class and maybe a bit slower for others. Sadly I don't find tanking fun enough. Got level 60 lancer last year when game still was P2P. Geared a bit, did some runs and decided it's not for me. Even insta ques weren't enough to compensate it. =( On April 11 2013 05:32 Sufficiency wrote: Oh wait, I can actually transfer from TR to MT? That's crazy. Yes, you can. For free. Damn. Oh well, I don't mind keeping my Mystic on TR though.

They're also annoying as hell in pvp. Pull + charge + stun, and block when focused...

1) Is there a way to set your target quicker? Sometimes I'm attacking something for close to 10 seconds before it finally shows its hp and debuffs. 2) Speaking of which - is there a way to make just your target frame bigger, and your own debuffs bigger? It's really annoying trying to keep a 3stack up on something I can barely see. 3) Is there a way to delete your chat when you hit ESC (or something similar)? The main reason I hit escape is because I don't want to finish what I was typing...not to keep the text stored. I'm sure there are other things about the UI that bug me but these are the main culprits.

The rest I've no idea. I didn't know that archers have debuffs.... I never bother with Volley of Curses with Mystics because it seems like a waste of mana.

Right click is bound to penetrating arrow for me, and I imagine others have it bound to various attacks as well. How does that set the target different from a left click attack? I love that you can manually drag and size your UI but I just find it weird you can't size individual frames - and kept thinking that you can but I just don't know how.

You want to position in a way so that you can ALWAYS heal the tank, and ideally have the dps easily targetable. Assuming a group with 2 melee and 1 ranged dps, this is one possible example. Keep in mind that many fights require a lot of movement so you won't have an "ideal" setup for long - that's why Arun's Vitae / aoe heals are important. EDIT: Yeah that didn't work. Basically stand on the side so you have your tank in your line of vision and dps to left or right. If you stand in a straight line then you'll have a tough time targeting.

It's all about positioning and timing for them. They either hit like a truck or miss completely. It get's a little better later though. -60 -Imo, not before you hit 60 and get the general idea about dailies and such. It's good to get a lot of reputation/cridits fast, 20 dailies instead of 10 with 2x gold boost is good too for starters (about 1.8k gold just for those). 2x more Sirjuka runs (instance to farm some glyphs), 2x lower cd for instances (so you can run more of those if you want/have time). Edit: It's not really needed though, it just speeds up some things. If you will like a game, get a founder status instead, much better than elite. 8 char slots on every server, 4 bank tabs too and on NA server there's also 280 account mount (EU publisher is too cheap for that).

Unless you're going to PvP for "real", it's more than playable. I have about 150-170ms ping and it's fine for any PvE content and BGs. 3v3 yeah, a bit better latency would help for sure, but then again, I don't really care about PvP in Tera, since it's broken and not challenging. If I want pvp, I'll play SC2 or CS or something like that. And yes, Gameforge is terrible at pretty much everything. I abandoned my Collectors Edition with 3 level 60s, tons of gold and stuff there and moved to NA server right before F2P started. Prices for shop stuff at EU is terrible, unless you buy points in packs of 100 euro, then character/bank slot will cost you 34 euro vs like 8$ on NA server. And what's the worst part, most of stuff from shop is not tradable at all. Mounts, bank/char slots, outfits, skins - almost nothing can be sold to other players, while on NA server it's not the case. I think only non tradable thing there is account mount and I believe it's only because how system works. So you can get stuff from shop just farming gold there, which is good. For example now char/bank slots going for about 2.5-3k on my server and you can farm that solo on BAMs or even normal mobs in 2-3 hours while watching youtube/streams on 2nd monitor. That's for level 60s with average gear though, don't bother farming gold/stuff before level 60. Also bad part about Gameforge is generic copy&pasted responce to tickets. I mean if you won't have any problems at all and won't have to deal with their support, maybe it'll be fine. But if you'll have to... Like the last year at early start (it was P2P, so I'd assume it's even worse now, because it's F2P) me and my friends had problems with dcing. We all made a ticket, included all possible information, like traces, pings, diags, times when it happened and large amount of text to describe problem. We all got an answer at pause between early start and official release which said something like that: "now servers are down to prepare for release, you will be able to play in 1 day". They didn't even read our tickets. Problem solved by itself 1 week after retail release... Or later, one of my friends has some troubles logging in. He made a ticket, included all info and stated that he does NOT use any proxy or VPN (because there were many similar problems and it turned out it's because people were using those to lower their ping). 1 week later he got a ticket, which said pretty much this: "If you're using VPN or proxy, disable it and try again". /facepalm Ok, enough ranting about Failforge. I'll just say, that after that experience, neither me or my friends will play to any game that will be/is hosted by GF. On April 12 2013 04:55 Sufficiency wrote: What am I expected to do as a Lancer against bosses? Do I just block as much as possible and spam taunt? I am so confused lol. Life as a healer was so simple. Well yeah, something about that. You will be keeping agro, moving boss if it's needed, debuffing it and attacking it when possible too. It's still damage after all. Later you'll get stun, its useful too. As for taunt spam, some people prefer to spam it on every cd, some actually keep it for times when DPS gets agro after some good crit. On April 12 2013 04:57 MintBerryCrunch wrote: If you don't mind me asking, where did you grind from 54-60? 54-58 you can grind at Pathfinder Outpost. There's some level 59 or 60 monsters called Mugato, there are big packs of those and they are way easier than monsters in Elenea and next few zones. They give 100k exp each (200k with 100% exp boost), so it'll be fast. 58-60 I recommend just go and do quests at argon zones. There will be tons of story quests, free level 58 and 59 gold gear and you also will do some quest and build some starting reputation for dailies later. That unless you're mystic or priest, doing think those can grind mobs easy enough, so you can just stick to quests. Although Elenea will be terrible as well, unless you will find a party. Mobs have really high hp and attack there.
