range class seems to play like fps so thats why i picked archer, seems player skill will do more good than gear. or should i role another class while i'm just starting? i'd like lancer but i'd like the pvp stuff to be more skill orientated than gear, as many melee class seems to be in general mmo. let me know if i'm understanding it correctly, ty. | ||

So if i am on pvp server, the battlegrounds will involve people from my server vs people from other servers (included PvE/RP) ? I checked their forums but i didn't find anything conclusive (maybe i am bad at searching, but their forums are a pita imho). | ||

Yeah BGs are cross-realm though I can't find the post that said this, I remember that certain servers were grouped together. I believe in the latest patch, they noted adding cross-realm for some of the newer servers. Also, I saw a guy's stream (Soyz) who plays on Tempest Reach and some of his teammates had [Mount Tyrannas] in their name so I guess those two are linked. | ||

Just enjoy the leveling process while you can, especially since you don't know how to farm efficiently or solo BAMs, or have handed-down gear. 4 days of PLAYTIME (i.e. ~100 hours) is more realistic. | ||

TR, MT and SH is 1st group, the other 3 in 2nd group. Archers are not desired in pve and pve is the fastest way to progress in pvp, because you still need money for enchanting and stuff. But yeah, play what you find fun, it'll be ok. And don't bother with leveling records on your 1st or even 2nd character. You must know the game and know what to do and what to skip to level fast. For example if I level an alt, I will skip 100% of BAM's quests. Those are waste of time, soloing takes a while and getting party too, doing tons of normal quests will get you much more exp for the same time. But, as a new player, it will be not only fun, but also useful to do all(or the most at least) of BAM quests. So you will learn their moves, timings and how to work in party. Because a lot of end game bosses are pretty much the same BAMs, with some unique moves and much higher HP/attack. So knowning basics helps a lot there. | ||

Yes, from what I can tell, Archers have terribad DPS, especially pre-60..... they are even worse than Lancers in DPS, I think. If I can choose my party members for PvE, I'd choose Sorcerors over Archers any day. | ||

Archers don't get their hardest hitting ability until 58. I'm also mana starved 24/7, and auto attacking for mana is shit dps. It's still a lot of fun though, since I can move while charging. Apparently a korean patch buffed archer pve dps by ~10% overall, but it never got implemented in NA. Weird. | ||

i wish all mmo had some stuff like this, what pissed me off so much with wow was that once i hit lvl cap, thats just only the beginning...so why the fuck waste everyone's time getting it to lvl cap. T.T | ||

T.T Unfortunately the only thing you CAN do is to buy EXP boosts. It's not that bad, considering you can actually get them with in-game currency instead of actual money. But I do feel your pain.... leveling a smurf on LoL takes ages  | ||
