Yeah... also heard Tera runs more smoothly. Also, with it going F2P so recently, I wont be the only one starting anew so it wont be a boring solofest. Of the F2P MMO's out there, it appears Tera wins out... Tired of RoM, DDO is boring with its instance only style, LOTR is super old, Allods has a bad rep, and the others don't really have the class I've played since the FFXI days.

Many people from Europe tend to play on the NA servers (at least on TL), so at least you'll find guys to play with.

First up, I heard before that the publisher in eu has changed the game quite a bit and is worse in general, so is it better to start playin on eu or us considering im european? Also how is the ping from eu to us? Thanks in advance. I guess the ping would vary depending on routing and your current internet connection. I played on the EU servers from the US east coast during the closed/open beta and it wasnt too bad. I would play on the NA servers, there are TL guilds on both the PvP and PvE servers.

You can definitely play around it and do just fine, but there will be extremely frustrating moments where you think you dodged something but you got blown up instead. They're adding invincibility frames to certain moves for classes that lacked them, which will help a lot if you plan on playing ranged. You just have to overcompensate for the extra few hundreds of ms.

I soloed all the way to 60 as a Priest my first time through not knowing what the hell was going on but leveling is a joke and I did this recently like nearly two weeks ago. As much as people claim the "50-58" was hard .. it really wasn't. Just that the monsters have like 100 to 125k HP or something dumb and as a Priest it took like 2-3 minutes to kill one thing so I had to resort to tricks to make leveling more efficient. I really hope when the game goes f2p that it won't lag more in instances. Any sort of lag in ACHM would punish the party during the last 20% zzz e: btw sadface for party when mchm isn't guaranteed regent drops

Any sort of lag in ACHM would punish the party during the last 20% zzz e: btw sadface for party when mchm isn't guaranteed regent drops I just downloaded the game yesterday and noticed it is quite easy to solo. I'll train like 5 groups with my arrow rain and take them all down in a minute or so with piercing arrow spam. I even stopped questing and went a couple areas ahead just to fight 3-4-5 levels stronger to see if it's more difficult and it's just as easy. Does it get more difficult as it goes on or is it all just pretty much this easy? I tend to solo a lot unless forced to party (or playing with friends) and get bored with soloing. FFXI for example, once you hit like lvl 10 you were basically forced to party up constantly. Sure, you could solo one monster at a time if you were careful with the areas, but there was absolutely no way you could solo and level time efficiently. I guess my question is... If I don't find the combat system all that exhilarating, will I get bored quickly with this?

I had a friend who recently just hit 60 as an Archer and has also said it was extremely easy to level compared to other games. I've played FF as well so I know what you're concerned with. The only level range where you might find monsters that don't die as easily is going to be 50-58 as stated earlier because they have much more HP. Well I just started very recently and I find the combat system to be one of the best parts of the game especially in pvp. Maybe because I'm a "newer" player it is easier for me to find something to do all the time. I can't really answer it for you as well as someone who has been playing for much longer.

You can also always change classes. Soloing mystic is hard lol. It takes forever. The combat not appealing to you might also be because you're playing archer. I didn't like archer either when I tried. Maybe give a melee class a go?

From my experience so far though, I find leveling mystic the most relaxing thing to do. I don't need to try to dodge monsters or go try-hard infinite kiting mode, just press a few buttons until something dies, heal up, then move on.
