I encourage everyone to read it. It's also kinda sad too :-( He's honestly not a bad person. He's just either a deliberate asshole or extremely socially inept. Either way I feel bad for him, and I've been a GB fan my whole life.

There's no visible injury, and this is the MOST. IMPORTANT. GAME. OF. THE. SEASON. You can't just sit on the bench, son! You have to limp out there and give it your best.

What was funny was the author of that article practically begging Bears players to say something negative about Cutler the entire week. They were constantly playing clips of his dumbass questions on the radio. Reilly has bashed Cutler ever since he left Denver, not a shocker to find out that's where he lives.

I mean, the guy was still out there after 9 sacks in the first half + probably a concussion (I think he got it in the first quarter, not the second like it was reported) against the Giants. In a more important game he comes out? That tells me the injury is serious. On another subject, I wonder if the Chicago coaches will finally acknowledge that Hanie is MUCH better than Collins. I was seriously throwing stuff at my TV when Cutler got hurt and then it's Collins, not Hanie who is warming up.

Ignoring the fact that Rick Reilly has gone from good writer to hack over the last half decade or so, this thing would just be shit no matter who wrote it. The whole thing screams of angry sportswriter with a vendetta because his dumb question was ignored. Maybe Jay didn't want a hand in recycling Rick's old columns for us in a super unique funny skit on ESPN. DID YOU KNOW HE WORE HIS HAT BACKWARDS THROUGH A WHOLE DINNER WITH MR. ELWAY????? Fuck off, Rick. It's gonna be real funny to watch the back pedaling when it comes out that he had a torn ACL or something and was trying to walk back out but the doctors stopped him. Even a fucking joke like Derrick Anderson would hobble his ass back out there in that situation if remotely possible.

I am surprised though that players would call him out so openly without any inclination as to what the injury is. I know MJD has already come out and admitted to sticking his foot in his mouth. I wonder if the other guys will have the fortitude to do the same.

Obviously the majority of us don't know what went on with the trainers, nor am I going to pass judgement on how much pain tolerance/playing through a severe injury players need to do in critical game. Especially considering something like that can be career-ending if you overdo it.

Then again, not everyone can pull a Philip Rivers and play on a torn ACL. But it's hard to back Cutler when he looked like a fucking 10 year old pouting on the sidelines before it happened, and acting as if he didn't care after the injury. Piss poor demeanor on the sidelines, caught all game long thanks to camera work.

As for him pouting I don't know how much you watch football but that's his normal face. He always looks like that. That's why people don't like him - he really is just a dude going through the motions. By the way, really good article: http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2011/1/24/1952992/jay-cutler-injury-nfl-soap-opera

He might be the greatest teammate, the greatest person. But we won't ever know because his media reputation is simply pathetic, and that's all we ever hear about really.

Another divisional playoff next year... come on Jets, get your shit together! Looks like they have a LOT of tough decisions to make for next year in terms of free agencies http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/columns/story?columnist=cimini_rich&id=6051113 I would love to see Kris Jenkins back and healthy again at least.
