go bears~ Heh, how is it intimidating? Like half of the posts are people asking for advice, and about 25% are people who aren't very good with football knowledge, like Hawk. Then the rest of the posts are made by me. He's included in the 25% because he regurgitates everything he hears ;] And the fact that he is a Broncos fan. They need to have better primetime games. Don't even think I'll be watching the Colts play the Titans this week. Though I would love to see another L for Peyton which would pretty much eliminate them from the hunt. Here's to the Jags killing Oakland. All the fines are pretty ridiculous. Started after Week 6 when Harrison and company were fined based on the new rules that apparently were only applied retrospectively for Sunday's games only.
Nonsense. My opinions are 100% original, and correct, unless I cite a source. You're just jealous of my superior knowledge.

I'm playing him, but I don't really have a better alternative. If you have someone who has put up consistent numbers, then sit CJ, imo. But, if you don't have a consistent producer, CJ can blow up at any time, so you play him.

not really, 16 man league so my alternatives are like donald brown and felix jones lol think ill just keep him in i guess

You'd honestly have to be retarded to play Donald Brown over CJ.
I'm considering throwing my game so that I play a weaker team in round one of the playoffs. Well, so that I guarantee I play a weaker team. If I win, and the #1 team loses, then we have the same record. I have a head to head win over him, which would put me in first place in the league. The last guy that I want to play in week one of the playoffs is the #4 team in the league (second highest scoring, same record as me). I think it's much more likely that I make the Super Bowl if I'm the #2 seed.

I have a bye this week and Garcon and CJ start smashing faces. Where was this two weeks ago, CJ? I needed this from you to have kept first place.
|
Man, Garcon had one heck of a game tonight. The Colts offense generally looked solid tonight. It was nice to see after a few weeks of dreadful play.

After seeing Britt back in action, he seems like he could do well against his next two opponents (Houston and KC).
I am in a bind for playoffs next week. Not sure who to start. I have Colston (so hot right now), Boldin (sketchy), Sidney Rice (hottish), Britt (lookin' good), and Collie (maybe, he's against the Jags).
|
Rice and Britt, imo, depending on what Rice does this weekend. If he does well again, you play Rice and Britt I think. Colston is hot right now, sure, but it's only a matter of time before Brees throws to everyone but him.

Rice against Chicago's defense? I haven't been watching many Bears games but how are they against the pass?
|
I wouldn't start Rice. Throwing to him will be either injured Brett Farve or inexperienced Tavaris Jackson. I think that Jackson (while I think he has a lot of potential) only did so well because he was playing the Bills.

Vikings receivers this year have given me such a headache. Harvin has pretty much been day to day for the whole year with his migraines. And of course my love affair with him made me draft him in all 4 leagues I'm in. Here's to Steve Johnson coming up big against the Browns, if god allows it.
|
Of course in the 2 weeks of this playoff round my opponent has Garcon... who has scored 3 times more TDs in those weeks than the rest of the entire year.
|
You have to see how Sid does this week. And it's not like Colston gets an easy defense that week--the Saints play the Ravens. And I think Sid has become one of those WR's that can get his against any team. I'll most likely play him and Wayne that week, unless Stevie goes off this week again, then I'll play Wayne and Johnson. Colston just seems really hit or miss.
But actually, I'd play Rice and Colston, and sit Britt. The only good thing about Britt next week is his MU. He had a pretty shitty week this week... I don't know why, but I thought he played better than a 1 point performance.

Matt Cassel will probably be out due to an appendectomy. Looks like another down week for Dwayne Bowe.

I was so sure that I was hitting a nice late rounder with Berrian, seeing as Rice was out at the start.... then I forgot, any offensive player drafted by the Bears in the last 15 years is destined to suck ass

Olin Kreutz could be a future HOF'er. Matt Forte has been solid, but not great. So not any!

I need to pick one of the following for a W/R spot: Mike Goodson (Car, vs Atl), Brandon Jackson (GB, vs Det), James Starks (GB, vs Det), LaRod Stephens-Howling (Ari, vs Den).
- I've currently got Goodson with the start, but Atlanta's run D and Jonathan Stewart have me worried. - I only have LSH because this league gives points for returns - but he's actually won me a couple games. But I have no idea how good or bad Denver's special teams is.

I would go with starks, GB is facing the lions.
