Ok, say that you're in a league where everyone pays attention, and there are no waivers. What is the criteria that determines who will get players? It's response time to various data (injury report, benching, trade, whatever) that occurs during the game. So how do you have the best response time to various data? Poopsocking. And I'm sorry if you think that interpreting injuries etc. in terms of player value requires high football IQ, but it really doesn't. In fact, it's basically common fucking sense.
In addition, just because you have a smart phone doesn't mean you want to be using it to check football news all fucking Sunday. Football is a social occasion for me, and for many others, and I don't want to spend that time hunched over my phone, playing the role of "that guy" that everyone laughs at/pities etc. I realize this is more on a person by person basis, but I consider that kind of behavior poopsocking too.
Quit poopsockin' about poopsockin', dude.
Y'all just ain't dedicated!
I wonder if Gore's hip is gonna be a problem going forward.
Sorry, I just love the term.
No worries, I too am fond of it.
Today is a good day. I got to use poopsocking AND pinko all in the span of an hour

The origin is from some MMO, I forget which one, but some dude actually pooped in socks so as to increase his playing time.
Nice quote. Anybody see Derek Anderson`s interview?
I didn't watch it, but I heard it on the radio this morning. They were talking to the writer that was asking the questions that led to the blow up. It was pretty funny, but also sad in a way.

Even with Matt Leinart they would have a losing record ... you can't just replace a hall of famer and multiple probowl players and expect to many games. I think people have come to the realization that Matt Leinart is a bust anyway.
They'll probably end up cutting Derek Anderson in the offseason and draft a Ryan Mallet in the middle of first round.
You think this is funny? I put my heart and soul into this shit. I don't wanna go on TL.net and get embarassed in front of everybody. I'm done. I'm sorry.
*leaves thread*
Edit: Anyway, congrats to Drew Brees for winning SI's sportsman of the year.

You have to admire that kind of dedication, if you want to call it that, from a guy. Someone who expects that much from himself every game, even in a losing season. That is EXACTLY the attitude I'd want to see from players if I were a coach.
Due to Larry Fitzgerald's ridiculously elevated rookie contract (he got an insane amount of money added on from incentives no one thought he would make), Fitz was able to get a new contract that had a lot of clauses favourable for him.
He's able to opt out of the last year of his contract, which means he can become an unrestricted free agent at the end of this year. He also has a no trade clause so he can go wherever he likes AND a clause that ensures the Cardinals cannot franchise tag him.
In short, Fitzgerald can potentially go to whatever team is interested in him that he wants after this season. And considering just how brutal Arizona's QBs are (NOTHING IS FUNNY TO DEREK ANDERSON) and his comments about not wanting to eat out of the garbage after tasting the caviar, I think it might be pretty likely that he opts out.
I think he'd go for a team with a legit QB and playoff aspirations. Some of these are:
Colts - doubtful, Peyton's already got Reggie but still possible, they have a lot of money tied up in that offense though and would probably be better off with a RB Patriots - actually pretty doable if Belichick is willing to pay him. "Hey Larry, think you can top 23?" Chargers - Looks like a real possibility with Vincent Jackson probably walking, Rivers to Fitz oh my Steelers - a possibility with Holmes gone and Ward getting up there in years Chiefs - Fitz has mentioned repeatedly that he absolutely loves Todd Haley so this is a real possibility even with Bowe there Rams - not as good as the other teams but Bradford is looking hella good, plus he gets to go torment the Cardinals twice a year Packers - They already have a lot tied up into that passing game plus the cold weather might be a turn off, need a running game way more anyways Falcons - As a Falcons fan, I jizz my pants thinking of the possibility, still we have a lot of money tied long-term in Roddy and Jenkins already plus I don't think Fitz wants to be 1b Saints - Oh shit

I hate how little respect Chicago gets. There's no reason to not list them there.
That's true. Chicago could really use Fitzgerald. They need all the help they can get in that offense (o-line, WRs though not as much, and their RBs are also terribly inconsistent).
I'd love to see Fitzgerald in Cleveland, because God knows they need the WR help. Colt McCoy is sick as a rookie.
I'd say Broncos but not sure how the Orton thing is gonna pan out.
Redskins are also very possible. They need as much help as they can get as well, similar to the Bears.

Skins could definitely use him. The Broncos are pretty solid on offense. That's absolutely not their problem this year... just like it wasn't two years ago when McDipshit took over the team. They need a ton of defensive help.
Chicago's WR's are atrocious. It's probably the worst WR corps in the league. It's pretty close between them, Cleveland, and Washington though. Knox cuts off routes all the time, and he belly/body catches so he misses a lot of easy ones. A guy on the radio out here put it like this "Knox just doesn't seem to get what it takes to play at this level just yet." Hester can't stay on his feet most of the time. Bennett is the best football player of the bunch, but he doesn't really have the talent to be a #1, though it's possible he could grow into a solid #2 some day, especially if he had a legit stud like Fitz on the other side.
Cleveland has Massaquoai who is better than all of the Bears WR's, and Washington has Santana Moss. Neither guy is very good, and certainly aren't #1's, but they're okay guys. Moss belongs in the slot, and probably the same with Mass.
Fitz to the Bears would be huge. And they could still draft OL, if he opts out. I don't think he will, though, he seems like the proud type of guy that sticks it out through the rough. He did before, I don't see why he wouldn't now.
Why?? That line is terrible, the D, while playing better this year, is rapidly aging and there's really no true standout skill players on that offense. I don't think Knox is the real deal, Hester isn't a true WR. Olsen is good, but he's a TE and Forte is good but not great.
They've also played no one this year. GB and Philly being the lone wins against good teams.

You can say that of almost all the teams in the NFC this year. The line is getting better as well.
