My friends and I only did it one year before realizing it was amazingly bad. In the final game for the championship one of the players had 4 of his best players sitting on the bench the entire game. Wasn't cool.

The NFL kinda changed it now so there are more division games at the end, maybe that won't happen as much anymore.

Yeah, I get Houston and Kansas in the playoffs. I'm in a great position to make the playoffs right now. I'm sitting at 6-3, tops in my division. If I can pull off a victory this week vs the #1 team in the league, I'll be fine. The more I think about it, the better I feel about getting CJ, and trading my guys away.

I must be missing something. How can some people consider the Ravens the best team in the NFL? Their offense isn't that explosive, their defense is mediocre, their special teams is nothing special. I am lost.

They've got one of the better passing defenses in the game -- though they're not showing it this game -- and passing defense is probably the most important stat in today's nfl where every other team has a franchise or system quarterback. Basically they're above average on everything, and don't have a particular weakness. I think they can be pried apart by a team with a very explosive, specialized offense. Bryant's playing the game of his life today (partly due to his O line) and even with the Raven's solid defense he's putting up effective drives.

Raven's passing defense hasn't been great all season though. I agree it was one of the best last season, but it's been slacking, and not just this game.

What? I mean their passing defense has been fine this season, overall atleast. I'm not saying they've got the same quickness to stop the pass that the saints do, but it's one of their strong points. But the Ravens main strength is they have no particular, exploitable weakness. They don't over rely on one player on offense(though Boldin might change that) and their entire defense is fairly solid. There's no team out there that's better than them at everything, or even more then a couple of things, besides most likely the Giants. They're the most rock solid team and their record reflects it.

Though honestly I think the giants are better, there's reason to believe the the Ravens are as solid or moreso as well. The Giant's season this year is pretty damn easy compared to the Ravens.

Yeah, Ravens pass defense hasn't been that great. They got blown up by Orton and Fitzpatrick. They give up a lot, lot, lot of yards. They're not so bad in the redzone, at least. I suppose that's what counts at the end of the night, but it's still a big problem. I like Jets, Steelers, Giants, and Packers defenses more.

You don't give up a lotlotlot yards while still being the 9th best at preventing yards on the pass. This game is gonna change that, though. Bryant's really putting on a clinic.

Don't get me wrong, I by no means think the ravens are the best team in the league and I think it's silly other people do. As a fan I'm looking to the saints (if brees stops getting picked like a fool he'd be the best damn QB this season) and objectively I don't see how you can't consider the giants the best. Ravens are definitely a top ten team and are almost assuredly gonna make a playoff berth this season, though, and any team that makes a playoff berth has a chance unless their name is the Lions.

They're 9th best at preventing yards because of the QBs they've played against. Against any decent QBs (Orton, Fitzpatrick, Matt Ryan, Tom Brady), their pass defense is incredibly exposed. The other QBs they've gone against include Sanchez, Palmer, Seneca Wallace, Chad Henne, Charlie Batch. Other than Palmer (sometimes) the other QBs are from run-first teams with QBs that are no good. But yes, they are easily a top 10 team. Probably a top 5 team.

He probably did, most good WR's have a pretty solid push-off move that is hard for referees to spot.

Sure looked like a push off. They were like 10 yards passed scrimmage and the defender went flopping back, but who knows.

Haha i really feel like kicking someone out of my league. He benched Roddy white tonight for Mario Manningham. Who benches Roddy at HOME for anyone, let alone a guy named Mario.

Edit: actually after seeing that Roddy TD from a different angle it didnt look like a push off at all - good no call.

Bryant is the Falcons' Kicker, dunno what clinics he's been putting on.

Brees isn't even close to the best QB in the NFL this season. Rivers and Manning are both far and away above the rest of the competition at this point and it's even arguable that Brees hasn't been the best of the rest this year.

Also as a Falcons fan, I gotta say, oh my fucking heart. This team really needs to learn how to put other teams away after dominating most of the game.

I'd be so pissed if I was the Joe Flacco. He had two really great drives to take the lead, only to have the defense fall apart, even after it had a clutch stop to give the offense that drive where they took the lead.
