Glad I read this post before wasting my time downloading this, lol  . If you can't unlock the highest level of whatever with all the upgrades in less than 3-400 games (that's probably 1-2 years of playtime MINIMUM for somebody like me with a full-time job and two kids), there's no point to this for casuals, IMO.I haven't even played 3k games of frickin' Starcraft 2 yet and I'm OBSESSED with Starcraft. | ||

I have a fulltime job as well (no kids, but clanmates do have some), yet i have two T10s unlocked, including alot of T9s and round about every T6 tank in the game (except the newer ones). If you play premium and play good, you can get a T10 in ~700 games. 300 games are done in no time, even with family. If you would need 300 games, you'd have to spend only what, 30 games per tank? I could do that in two hours (not really, but you get the point). That would be utterly stupid, because also there would be no-one playing lower tiers. If you can't manage 300 games (max 15 minutes each, most of them shorter) in 2 years, yeah, it's not the game for you. But i think you're bullshitting there, sorry. Not that i would want to protect WoT, alot is wrong there, but THAT is not the problem. Especially not if you exaggerate like that. Don't take it personally, but yeah.. If you're a casual, you don't need T10 tanks. Since you can't sustain them properly anyway (you need to play good for that, as in experience what other tanks can and cannot do, like gun elevation, alpha, dpm, speed, turning rates, weakspots etc). You can have fun with T5-T6 as well, ESL even has a league for these. | ||

With 1 hour, you can play around 8-10 games, less when you become better at the game. And like another one said, you don't have to play T10 to have fun. A lot of T5-T6 are awesome. | ||

A lot of T5-T6 are awesome. Add to this: I've had an awesome time with a friend downgrading to T2-3 BT-7's ect. Speeding around the map picking people off is great fun. There's no innate reason that you need T10 to have fun, and if you find that you need to "grind" games to get to said tier, then it isn't the game for you. (Each match should be fun, not a grind) | ||

Worst grind in the game, by a mile. I'd rather grind M3 Lee 12 times than to grind that hetzer at that time. | ||

So you actually never played it with its old engine (and broken gunmantle). Because the gun would not count on a hetzer, you never really made it to the battlefield. | ||

Occasionally you'll get a low tier match, but that's rare. The problem is not the platoon-system but the fact that light tanks count as scouts and have a matchmaking up to T8 for a T4 tank. My tip: whoever drives the A-20 should switch to another T4 (if its the premium guy), or you just have to grind through it until he gets the T-34, which has a way better matchmaking (since it's a T5 medium, which don't count as scouts). Same would go btw for arties, low tier arties get matchmaking like this as well (Lorrain 39 and AMX105 AM were so bad, doing ~2-3% damage to a heavy IF it didnt bounce it in the first place coupled with high reload times, .. fun). | ||

Guess it's preference, i like my tanks.. moving. And hitting stuff. ^^ Edit: that's why i like the StugIII so much.  | ||

It's just that I remember at least three tanks that I really hated grinding. M3 Lee, T-28, and the T1 Heavy (which I actually didn't even finish, I decided to go to the M6 through the jumbo and ragesold the T1). Compared to those, I did enjoy the hetzer. | ||

I would trade two hetzers for a T-28 with ZiS. By far the most op tank in its tier. Well, if they didn't nerf it, quite a long while ago since i played it. Ragesold the T1 heavy as well, and used free-XP to unlock M6 with 90mm. ^^ I have to correct myself though, by far the worst grind ever is the Somua SAu-40. Played 6 games, sold it. That's by FAR the worst thing ever made. Loved the S-35 CA though, most op TD on T5 (47 games, 65 kills, 70% winrate^^) with the 105 derpgun ^^ | ||
