What's happening when you try to run it? I had a lot of problems running Minecraft on my stationary, but I got it to work on my laptop. I had to reinstall java and the java 3d platform to make it work.
Also, my stationary's vista while my lappy is 7, which OS are you running?
When I run it, I log in, it goes through the update bar, then just goes completely black. I reinstalled java and I'm running Windows 7 Home 64bit. Is the java 3d platform something separate from java I have to install?
Still don't know if it would help. When I first ran the game I got a driver error, which disappeared after I fiddled around a bit. REALLY annoying that the Intel driver updater isn't working for some reason though. I can't really say what the problem might be at this point.
That java 3d thing looks to be the right one, yea.
What graphics card are you using? I've been on ATI cards for a while so I'm not all updated on NVIDIA cards, but I'm sure finding the correct driver shouldn't be harder than entering the graphics card name in the search bar on the NVIDIA site.

mobile intel r 45 express chipset family - integrated graphics that came with my laptop I'll go back to Intel's site and just grab whatever drivers I can for this thing.
Finally got this to work, and holy craaaaaap is it addicting. I've spent the better part of my day constructing a fortress on cliffs that connects to a mine underneath and has a harbor behind it.
so my waterfall in my cliff .. i thought there was a lake up on the hill but once i finally made it up there, no such thing. it was just coming out of nowhere it seemed. i couldn't really see cause of the shadow caused by the cliff, so i tossed a torch at it and IT DISAPPEARED now my beautiful waterfall is gone. fffuuuuuu

at first i was excited cause it looks cool , but now it's just a goddamn maze and all mountains look alike (AND ITS HARD CLIMBING DOWN A SNOWY MOUNTAIN cause all snow tiles blend in perfectly and u dont know if its a 1sq or a 10sq drop >_<)
also i kinda re-enacted moria <,< dug too deep and died to a lavafall rofl thank god i found my way back and picked up all my stuff. on the way i found a huge empty hole in a beach which leads down 20squares to another mine/cave tunnels. gonna have to build a staircase down there and explore =D

Cartograph is pretty great if you need to get your bearing.
Hiring some people, getting an office, and all that! I will get back to posting about actual Minecraft development soon, but bear with me for some more business news:
It’s Monday, the trip to Bellevue is over, and plans are slowly turning into reality. I met a lot of really interesting people over there and got a bunch of new potential business contacts, but for the immediate future I will be investing the money I’ve saved up into hiring people and starting up a proper company.
Or, rather, a close friend and I will be starting up a new company together. That company will continue to develop Minecraft. I will be the main developer, and I will keep working on it just as I have now, but there will be people supporting me, such as an artist, a web site developer and a business guy to help sort out all deals and make sure that things like the Creeper plushies actually happens. My friend (name withheld for a while for office political reasons) will lead development of a game idea he and I have talked about for a few years. It will be developed in parallel with Minecraft, and has a fairly different style both in visuals and gameplay. Everyone working at the company will be involved in both projects to some degree.
We’ll get an actual office type of thing somewhere in Stockholm. We’ll have mandatory game playing hours every week to make sure people are a jour with the latest games (indie and otherwise), and to help build office spirit.
If you live in (or can move to) Stockholm, are good at 2D graphics (pixels, gui, illustration), play a lot of games, and want to get a new job, please email jobs@mojang.com with a work sample and a short introduction and a summary of what you’ve done before.
We’re also looking for a web developer. Ideally this person should both be able to handle the front end and the back end of web development. If you know what a “Cloud” is and can explain it to me, that’s a huge plus.
[edit]
If you’re worried this means I’ll spend more time on administration:
I spent way too much time already doing non-development stuff, like talking to paypal about them unlocking my account, traveling abroad, and sorting through support emails to see what bugs there are.
I will now hire a person to do all this for me, and some more people to help do the stuff I can’t do well myself (like the website, and some of the art (the armor)). I’m already getting amazing help with the sounds from C418, so I know getting help just makes me more productive. :D
This means it's very likely we'll be seeing a lot more updates as soon as he really gets this up and running!
Minecraft is already a great game/experience, but I believe it can be much better. I, for one, am excited to see what Notch can churn out with some support behind him now.
This game was fun for a while but for some reason i got the worst sensation of motion sickness after I was done playing this game which I thought I broke myself away from happening to me in fps type of games. no other game has made me that dizzy before.
I know what you mean Trialan, when I first played portal I had a horrible sense of motion sickness too, and the same after I first played minecraft for too long.
