Also some here don't seem to understand that Bayern is a top5-side financially. They can provide an amazing training environment, including top notch medical support. Ribery and Robben will go nowhere. And for the german players ... no way anyone is leaving.

I'm pretty pumped for this season, yes we don't have Mourinho anymore but we still have world-class players and Benitez is a great coach as well. Plus, now the players believe that they can win anything and everything. I'm hoping to see the younger guys mature and kick some ass (Santon, Balotelli if he stays, Coutinho).

And with Ronaldo gone, the others in ManUtd not getting younger ManUtd isnt top5 for me anymore imo.

On Barça side, signed Villa and Adriano (Sevilla's Brazilian left back). Targets are Fabregas (probably won't happen because of Arsenal's position and Barça's weak economy) and some defenders to enlarge the bench. If good offers come, Ibra might go out.

People have said that about a millions times and so far they have ALWAYS been wrong. Hell I've even said it myself. Of course being good doesn't guarantee success in Europe giving the massive slice of luck involved and the inherent flaws with a knock-out system; but we'll see. My surprise pick for the CL is Tottenham. Harry is one of the few Premier league managers who excels in the knock-out format; as he's shown in his fantastic FA cup runs. Tottenham are not short of money and have a young squad that could potentially be very strong this year.

Chelsea v Crystal phallus Arsenal, Lpool, Spurs and a few others are playing. Mostly reserves and youth for Chelsea but great to see Essien back. During the warm up Essien hit the ball into the crowd and hit some kid and he got a nosebleed lol but he went over to apologise. The Bison is back!!! :D

@AGooners this rank is how you think the teams are going to be doing this season right? Its what I think the 10 best teams are going to be based on last season, world cup and now this transfer season. Also that Silva and Vucinic to Man City thing that was my bad lol looking at those transfer lists for a while had me mix up whats rumoured and whats actually happend To those who complaining about Bayern, I like them more then any of the teams I have ranked above I even grew up in Munchen and moved to Canada when I was 15 so they are always going to be one of my favourites. However watching week to week the retarded mistakes Van Bommel, Van Buyton and Demichelies makes makes you wonder just how they are going to stop anyone from scoring aside from Lahm I dont trust anyone in the back. That young kid Badstuber is so untested and I dont know how they expect him to match the best wingers in the world stride for stride, I just dont see it happening. Supporters are supposed to believe in their team its why they are supporters right but the bottom line is the president Beckenbauer said they overachieved last season and hes so close to the team if anyone should have bias its him. They dont get things like that get in the way though it was the same when Cruyff picked Spain to beat Holland, they just look at the teams and the football they play and thats all that matters. So why does he think they overachieved? I dont know, maybe he didnt think Robben could have such a dramatic impact or that Muller would be such a stud in his first season. They won the bundesliga but it was not impressive by any means with 20W-10D-4L they didnt exactly dominate their domestic league like the teams above did and based on champions league results the last few years, those teams ranked above play in superior leagues, not to take anything away from the bundesliga its just the 4th best league in europe. Also Bayerns champions league run wasnt the most convincing they were at the brink of elimination against Fiorentina and Man U. Someone also said that Bayern can draw international talent and I disagree at least not top level talent like the teams that are above them on that list. You know when I was younger the biggest international signing Bayern made was Bixente Lizarazu. Bayern always relies on homegrown talents in 1999 champions league finals they had 1 non German starter in Kuffour and only three international players on the team. Sure in the last few years they have gotten a few more international players but how many are trully world class? Ribery they got when he was still somewhat unknown he hadnt really burst on the scene yet and Robben came over because there was no room for him at Real Madrid. Was Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo etc. ever linked with Bayern or current players like C. Ronaldo, Kaka, Robinho etc. Im not saying world class players like them wouldnt play at Bayern they are still a top club in europe but I think most of them dont have Bayern on the shortlist of the top 5 teams they want to play for. Which is why Bayern never get the biggest names in the world. Their strength has always been acquiring the best German players in the country where by the time international events roll around half the German team is made up of Bayern players, just like it was with Spain being all Barcelona players this year at the World Cup. At the end of the day if you want to try and test the validity of the rankings just think if Bayern played Man U who would the betting public make the favourite? Real Madrid vs. Inter? Barcelona vs. Chelsea? there is always a favourite some are obviously closer then others but I think in a game between Bayern vs. Team X (let x represent any team above them in my rankings), team X would be the favourite to win.

The Bundesliga also provided the second most players for the world cup. It is just severely underrated.

Conclusion: The Bundesliga is better than the Seria A right now. Teams like Hamburg, Bremen, Wolfsburg, Schalke, Stuttgart, Leverkusen or Dortmund all operate on a very high level. The Bundesliga also provided the second most players for the world cup. It is just severely underrated. The quality of the league overall doesn't reflect the strength of the top teams. Barcelona are undeniably the best team in the world right now but the depth in La Liga overall looks weaker than it's been for many years.

However, the WC is such a drastically different animal to club football any links you make between WC and club success are flawed.

And let's not forget that Bayern only beat Fiorentina (11th place in Serie A) because of an offside goal. I think that says a lot more than the world cup, which is completely unrelated to club football.
