(Previous comment spoiler) + Show Spoiler + I don't recall ever seeing a dust zombie. Where did you see it? I've completed the game before and played through the beginning multiple times.

It's hilarious when you know where the scares are and the person playing has no idea. (Previous comment spoiler) + Show Spoiler + I don't recall ever seeing a dust zombie. Where did you see it? That's the room. The zombie only triggers after you've completed the bit where the ceiling caves in and you do the whole secret-books-lock-mechanism spiel. If you then walk back to the collapsed hallway you entered earlier, that's when it pops up behind you.

Regarding the ending... + Show Spoiler + I know that Frictional Games is working on another game which is using an improved version of the HPL engine. I'm assuming that sending Agrippa through the portal is the 'good' ending, and the one that will be considered canon. It seems, in that ending, there's a possible opening for a sequel. Do you guys think they will make a sequel to Amnesia or will their new title be a new horror game?

down the elevator I dunno if I can take this right now at least. It feels like there are going to be terrible terrible things here. I have been playing it at night with every light out by myself and have been making it for 2.5 hours at a time (playing until dawn). But I'm terrified right now.

I do not have the source, but unless I am mistaking them for another horror game producing company, I read something along the lines of "horror games are hard and stressful to make so the staff needs a break from creating them." I don't think they're stopping with horror games altogether though so a sequel could still be possible.

I think I know how you feel though as my worst fear while playing the game is that something will startle me in person XD

According to their Wikipedia page, their next project will use a new version of the HPL engine they created to make Penumbra and updated for Amnesia. I'm looking forward to this, because the physics in Amnesia are well done and their object interactivity is amazing. It'd be interesting to see how they can use that technology in different genres.

There's a snow covering outside, so I can see everything out my windows. Not sure if that's better or worse. OK update after < 5 minutes: + Show Spoiler + I died to a monster.
