The thing is the vast majority of the legendary items are terrible. Finding legendary items is a huge disappoint in my opinion.

Does armor really mean anything nightmare and up? I'm in act 3 of nightmare with 2k armor and 4k hp as a monk and I'm still finding things that one-shot me.

Sure, until they go on the auction house and buy it for themselves. I'm having a good time with the game so far I just wish there was more to get excited about when it comes to finding gear.

I think your HP is just low, I'm also act 3 as monk and have 13k, my WD buddy has 7k I think.

Assuming you're reasonably geared (aside from lack of vitality), you're probably just not watching out for monsters that have some sort of charge attack. Can't name a specific monster, but there's one where his hammer turns red before he slams it down. Save your invuln shield and blind for when they start charging up.

Having an auction house in the game doesn't magically create more legendary items, just saying.
I think Blizzard should add more side benefits to str/dex/int. Like str increasing block amount and crit damage, while dex increases crit chance and block chance. etc. Not so much that it's better to stack attributes, but just enough to help.

I think the exact opposite need more stats to get people away from only using vit + their main stat, wasn't that the whole point of taking away people's stat customization instead they gave us an even worse version on the items.

The point of stat customization is that there is more than one way to customize. In diablo 2 everyone got enough STR to use their gear and pure vitality (and dex block cap if they PvPed). This means there's no reason to have stats since everyone does the same thing just like in Diablo 3.

I just got Hellish Staff of herding O_O??

I've gotten 3 legendarys by now, 1 random pair of bracers (worthless @ lvl 15), a fist weapon which has been replaced by a blue and a recipe for a 1-h mighty wep with retarded mat requirements!
EDIT: The point of this wasn't to gloat, but to state that legendarys are rather terrible...

Got DC'd twice in a row at hell Butcher with my solo wizard when he was at ~15% left...
Soon after got DC'd at inferno Belial in co-op close to the end...

Am I the only one that is super bored with the game already?
I mean the whole game is just following a linear path and mindlessly spamming the attack buttons. Nothing but grind.

Saw a new elite trait in inferno, missile dampening. Kind of annoying as a DH as I can't kite as effectively but not as bad as some. It is just a sphere around the elite that slows down ranged attacks made outside of the sphere.

that is what Diablo is and it just becomes how much do you like seeing the color yellow
for some people, quite a bit. for others, it's not enough to keep their attention.

To be fair, Diablo 3 is faaaar more linear and less randomized than Diablo 2. I feel like I'm repeating the same areas over and over with no change every play through. The only thing that seems random is a couple of option caves, which seems pathetic.

Anyone know where to find "The Feared Hero" book in act2?
I've googled it, and the only place I found that mentions it is this site :
http://d3db.com/quest/i/the-road-to-alcarnus/4
Seems to be around the quest The Road to Alcarnus but I've done that quest multiple times and haven't seen it.

I feel like they removed a lot of wandering that D2 had. Streamlined it and the fact that act 4 is like 1/3 of an act doesn't help that feeling.

There was hardly anything random about Diablo 2. The maps were different and that was it. With D3 you need to make new games to get new optional dungeons and random journals/other pieces of lore.
That said, D3 is linear to the point of stupid. It's actually really frustrating.
