Am I the only one who's gotten any achievements bugged btw? I'm not talking about achievments not being counted during certain periods, that's happened to pretty much everyone, because those are just re-runnable and therefore easily delt with; I'm talking about undoable achievements. For example, I think I have 3 collective achievements now with 100% progress that are still not completed. Is Blizzard going to fix this or are those achievs locked forever for me now or what?

Or rather I should say, it's probably more efficient to only sell, but you kinda miss out on a big part of the game if you don't do any crafting. Just stocking cash and then going to AH is nowhere near as fun, but that's where you're going to end up at 60 anyway, so you might as well enjoy it while it lasts.

The crafting materials are kinda useless since they are difficulty-bound.. That is, youll only use them to craft 'normal' items and not 'hell' items. So sell to vendor and use the cash to buy cheap rares on the AH to boost you through the lvls. Its all about getting to 60 so you can start to get good drops.

Should I use the AH? Should I craft? Selling is probably the best way to do it, i haven't experimented with AH when i was playing through normal but the chance of getting something worthy of selling won't be too high probably, i've been salvaging items for crafting materials but i got better drops than the possible crafts all the time.
Also - items that drop on higher level difficulties give other mats so if you won't use the mats in normal - you certainly won't use them later.

I destroy every magic item to get essence to craft later. The vendors give u little money for them anyway..

Yellows can sell for a decent chunk, espescially weapons, powerleveld my DH on the US server by just selling blues to the vendor and buying a decent set on the AH for ~10k gold(including weapons) this allowed me to 1shot most mobs. It might not be much but you can sell rare weapons(and some items) from a low level for about 2k-5k.

Prices on the AH do fluctuate, but last time I checked (servers still down) the price of crafting materials is so low, you're better off selling your stuff to the vendor and buying crafting materials through the AH instead.
This also applies to gems. It's cheaper to sell 3 gems of lower quality and buy 1 of higher quality than crafting yourself. I do expect people to catch up though and let supply and demand work its magic, if they haven't already.

I have like 40k saved up already.... is this enough to buy some gear off the AH? I'd check but DRM lo0000l.

Depends on how crazy of stats you want. If you shoot for less ideal items, there's usually some cheap stuff. Just pick a few preferences, then sort by ascending buyout. There's a page limit, so stick to a tight level range. Ascending buyout will let you find the bargains.
By the way, the stupid spider caves at the end of A1 are stupid in hell. Got an elite pack of spiderlings with extra health and waller right at the entrance. I've killed 1, and I think I might level off of the bonus xp from surviving low health before I kill them off.

Love it when I load up the game, get ready to do an inferno run and the first pack is mortar jailer invuln minion leapers. GG WP go next.
I swear I can take any elite pack solo so far except those goddamn leapers. They shred my poor 18k hp in less than a second

Depends. some of the very best items cost between 200.000 and 1.5 mill.
So for 40k you can probably buy one items that beats what you got on right now, but you will probably find one that is better later in the game. IMO the best thing to do is to save gold and buy that ultra rare items you wont find late, cause its so good and rare.

Actually if you a lucky and spend some time looking you can get quite a few items. Sure that sweet axe with +150 str for 20k is nice, but that same axe with +120 str only costs 3k. Suddenly it wasn't so expensive.

Yeah, you have to be carefull not to buy the first and best items. Usually you can find the same items for alot less gold if you look long enough.
Shame with the buyout option really. Wish it wasnt there.

imo you should turn them in to materials at the crafter. compared to the gold you will earn playing through later difficulties and the gold you need to buy stuff from AH they are a drop of water in the ocean, but its a pain in the ass to get good loot if you just want a faster leveling experience with an alt. so im keeping the mats and using them to always keep my alt well geared as i slowly level him.

I dont think its that legendarys suck... its more like blues / rares are waaay 2 good... i cant belive they intend them to have 700+ dps. I also think thats the reason inferno is beaten already, if blues had something like 300 dps max people would have to gear up other pieces that just their weapons...

inferno has been beaten because the bosses are scripted and you can evade every single hit by running away from the big circles on the ground/the big circles that come out of the boss.

Yeah i know, but getting there you have to kill champion packs, on which you shoot -> die -> shoot -> die until they are dead..
maybe 300 dps wouldnt be enough then since they also heal up

And how do you want to kill the whities on Act 4 with 500k+ HP without good weapons? Inferno is quite fine as it stands, imho. One misstep and you are dead. And that kind of against anything, seems fine.
And yeah, the bosses are kind of the easy stuff on Inferno as it seems. The real nasty stuff are champs with wall/jailor+mortar because they just kill you pretty much instantly. :<
e: Also they added a timer on elite-groups as it seems. So if you dont kill them quick enough you get instagibbed by a DOT if you come close to that group before it has been resetted.
