I don't have a credit card, nor would I use it to trade for items. Does item-for-item trading have to happen the complicated way like in Diablo2? Yes, there is a gold (in game currency) auction house in the game that you can use to buy and sell items for more efficient trading than d2's item for item. There is also regular one on one item for item trades I believe, but I doubt it will be used as a popular means of commerce.

Jay Wilson mentioned adding a flagged PvP area to the PvE game where players can do some old school free for all PKing. It's likely going to be a dedicated zone or sub-area near a waypoint, but they're still figuring it out. If you're wanting more of a setting where you can challenge party members to a duel at any point in the game that isn't likely though. Whatever it is should be interesting though.

As Geno already answered you, I just wanted to also add that you will still be able to use the RMAH without a credit card if I've understood it right. You'll get a number of deposit free auctions every week and with that you can build up some money on your battle.net account for use however you want (though obviously you won't be able to withdraw the funds on to a credit card) either for buying items or use in the B.net store etc. That's if I've understood the system correctly though.. Edit: Typo.

I was thinking either a designated area or like "custom game" 1vs1. I say "custom" because I know they wont use the matchmaking/arena for duels. But dueling is really fun and I hope it will be in somehow.

From there latest sneak peaks, the only dueling we saw, was arena style. Infact, it was incredibly similar to Bloodline Champions, which to be honest looks brilliant.

For example, Torchlights areas were all randomly generated, and all very linear. So the question is if they use more of a D2 style of areas where you have to run around and search what you are looking for, or a Torchlight style where you have to follow one path with few small side areas, which might be different each game, but which still is basically a straight line more or less.

I've never seen anything that says it won't be just like Diablo 2. With all the whiners out there I feel comfortable I would have heard something by now if that wasn't the case.
