Rare isn't even that good of a developer anymore.

Fixed
True, it and Halo where very revolutionizing for the genre, but console shooters are still so inferior to good PC shooters it's not even funny.

how did goldeneye revolutionize anything at all? ill give halo credit for coming up with a lot of standard stuff today (not that all of it is even necassarily good though ) like melee/grenade buttons and rechargable shields, but seriously wtf did goldeneye do?

well what do you mean by PC shooters though? Only non console shooters I can think of are Crysis 1 and Half Life 2

I was excited for goldeneye until it I saw the crappy graphics and was like Hmmmmm....
Then I saw wii exclusive and shed a tear.

Technically they made about half of those into console games. They were terrible, but still...

I mean FPSs for PC in general are just a lot better than FPSs for consoles, due to controls. This is true for non exclusive games as well, except when they fuck the PC version up due to laziness (hello MW2). Just an opinion of course but I really don't understand people who like FPSs for consoles better than for PC.

I'm rather excited for the Star Wars MMO, so far they've lined up 15 playable planets, and the game's still a year from release.
They've announced multiple races, personal star ships, and branching class paths for all 8 choices.
On top of being fully voice acted with Bioware's story telling backing everything up.
The complaints I can muster against the game are just not great enough to pull my expectations down.
Bioware hwaiting!

well there are ports and then like totally new console-only spinoffs.
I consider a shooter to be a PC shooter if it was made for the PC 1st and then ported over to the consoles (as is the case with games like FEAR and The Orange Box). if it was the other way around then it's probably bad any way so I dont care about it but it's not a PC shooter (such as Modern Warfare 2).
franchises like unreal and battlefield actually had complete console spinoffs too, but that doesnt mean that UT3 or BF2 aren't PC shooters. cuz they are

I was thinking about the present though and about single player games. None of these are single player games and all of them are really really old (not that I dont like playing some of them, even now, but still) Also TF's and UT's and BF's sequels are all console games too.

I'd like to know where you heard this.
Bioware hasn't said anywhere that this would be in game.

Bioware has not said what payment model they plan on using, though we've had slight hints of a micro-transaction system.
Personally I'd prefer a monthly fee.

Did you not watch the EA Press Conference? They announced it minutes ago.
It serves as a customizable way to express yourself, as well as a home base.

Is that really it for bioware at e3 or do they have more scheduled this week? i've looked around and can't find anything. No ME3 or DA2?

it's not just controls (or graphics for that matter) though. when a shooter is designed for the PC, it's very clear in how fast-paced the game is and complex the controls are. Counter-Strike was fucking garbage on the xbox because of how fast-paced it is and how imprecise and slow a controller is. crysis 1 would of never worked on consoles just because of how complex the controls were, and it's clearly evident in Crysis 2 that htey had to make a lot of changes to the controls (for better or for worse, but probably worse) simplifying things to make it playable on the 360/PS3.
