Try it before you talk about dodge, you'll never even consider dodge on casters after trying it. Wtf? It's 100% related. The punishment of the dodging has no relevance to the best method to have someone dodge

Buidling madred's into bloodrazors is still a lot more effective. Your team can kill baron immediately after building bloodrazors.

He's got some other options, but yeah. Skills Ult > Shatter > Heal > Dazzle, Dazzle you can leave at level 1 until the end of the game, to be honest.

a) jungle zhao sucks ass. Unlike Warwick, who has so many ways to kill people (thanks to his speed + ult) zhao has two choices: either go hardcore jungle (and not come out until like 11 or so) or do a temporary jungle into waiting for your teammates to die to take their lane. He's just very hard to jungle and at the same time do any ganking, because his lifesteal is worse than WW's and thus you need to put lots of points into your 2nd ability in order to farm decently, which means you basically have a very hard time trying to kill people. b) straight dps zhao's are hella easy to kill. They have no escape mechanism, are slow as crap, and the only way to slow you guys down is to charge into them. Thus anybody going pure dps zhao is going to have the same problems that pantheon has, except that the stun requires you to actually attack the enemy, and you don't have your temporary shield. And if you're being chased, your regen isn't going to do very much. c) straight tank zhao's can tank a lot of hits but has virtually no way of killing people and no way to force aggro, unlike say singed or rammus or like any other tank in the game. d) the build i've had most success with so far is a trinity force-first build. Mana Thingy + potions Sheen Boots Tabi Phage Zeal/Trinity Another Phage Frozen Mallet tank/damage item (NOT CRITS) Skill build for this: 3/1/3/2/3/4/3/2/3/2/4/2/2/1/1/4/1/1 Tricks to keep in mind in laning- Dragon Fang or Tiger or whatever the hell its called does not need to be on the same target. So something funzies to do is to activate it, hit a creep 2 times, and then charge at a target and knock him into the air. It's a pretty effective way to deal damage, just make sure that they don't have any disable or you're boned. You are the one hero that can autoattack for a reason. But make sure to still get last hits. The reason I get Sheen as opposed to a straight up damage item is because I want to keep my damage low so I can hit the cannon creep for a while and gain back hp. If I kill it too fast I just push the wave. What to do in Team Fights: Xin Zhao is not a very good initiator until he gets a tanking item or anything that gives him HP. Without a tanking item, at low levels his ult gives him a pitiful amount of resistance, thus getting you focused down stupid fast. Thus at low levels I would wait for the actual tank to come bait them before u charge in. As soon as you charge in use your ult, then press 1 and 2, in that order, and go after their casters first. A notable exception is Ashe/Twitch because those buggers will slow you down. Once you get your first tank item/hit level 16 you can initiate the fight. overall i would rate him as being a slightly weaker but more team friendly version of pantheon.

I like the tank version of him just cause you dont need more damage when you can use your ult, and the fact is the longer you live the more you get to flip people in the air and use your slow to chase after team fights.... if your dead you can't really use those abilities...

I'm new to LoL in general so I'm learning, but doing well. But I'm pumped as Taric totally fits my playstyle as a more survivable tank. (assuming he actually is) What does he use besides those two items, the guides on leaguecraft don't seem updated. Stack mana, armour, items that buff your team/debuff theirs? Thanks in advance

From that light, just remember that he's a tank (needs HP/armor/magic resist) as well as a support (can work with auras, stronger heals via ability power, cooldown reduc, etc.)

Edit: Re: Xin Zhao I only saw him in 3 games, and these are generally pretty newbie games cuz ranked elos are all squished, but he seemed (as a Kass player) like GarenB. Another white-armored really annoying thing chasing after you and disabling you. And, another white-amored really annoying thing that's pretty tough to take down. I think he ends up needing to be built a bit like Garen (Sunfire stack) and all, but it's pretty early to say, just throwing in my 2 cents :D He didn't seem very much like a carry, though. There was like a 7-2-X Xin that owned my top lane and I still kited him and his team down with Kassadin, despite the presence of Morgana and Zilean.
