Does anyone else get 150ms or so of consistent lag when playing online? I'm on PSN and it's reaaaaaally making everything a shit ton harder to execute.
Also I dunno if anyone's posted it yet but i just thought of team starcraft (Thor, Storm, Phoenix). Lol.
yeah there's a lot of lag on the online play I think it makes it worse by not being able to see how many bars your opponent has so you can only play 5 bar matchs :\

The overall damage is way too high. Both of these things combine to create games that go from unloseable to unwinnable within 10 seconds. I can't stand how easy it is to come back from being consistently outplayed for 90% of the match.
What would you think about Yipes idea of setting tournament play to "low" damage setting (seemingly about 50% damage)
zz every game would time out. Should just be an option to disable X-Factor (or take away the damage boost and leave in movement speed/red health regeneration).
Look, I've seen games averaging out to ending by th 60 or 70 second mark. I don't think time outs will happen even 50% of the games if this happened.

"JuiceboxAbel Juicebox Abel I can't think of a good reason not to put Sentinel on every team. This is bad, I kinda hope he gets nerfed at some point."
Thats my point, theres not really a good reason to NOT have sentinel on your team which is why he's broken.
Again compared to MvC2 sentinel has been nerfed pretty hard. There are a lot characters now that can deal with sentinel, a couple examples are Trish runaway, Dante teleport, and hell even Arthur can keep up with sentinel in a zoning match. The game needs to evolve first, crying "broken nerf plz" is just going to make the game more boring (SF4).
I don't see how thats an argument though "Oh he got nerfed enough from MvC2" Well obviously he did but MvC2 wasn't a balanced game, there were 5-6 viable characters and 40 or 50 something that were useless. I'm not saying he's broken I'm saying he's overpowered as fuck because right now he IS the strongest and theres no real way to argue it.
You want to make an imaginary tier list? In MvC2 what was it, Sentinel, Storm, Magneto, Psylocke, Commando, Doom maybe at S, and a bunch of fails that are useless
In MvC3 right now its looking like Sentinel is S, everyone else is A. Everyones viable but Sentinel ACTUALLY stands out in a game where everyone else is on pretty even keel.
Been wrecking sent players with Amaterasu, your standing is lower than his lowest beam and you can play keep away twice as good and charge in when you want to rush him
Ok....so maybe I'm arguing against people that think Sentinel is OP because of his spitting attack? Thats not the concern whatsoever for high level players. So just because you all beat a sentinel by out projectiling him doesn't mean sentinel can be stopped, it means you stopped someone who's spamming the laser beam.

Yes, because nerfing everything to the ground a couple days after the game being released is good /sarcasm. For example, back in the early days of MvC2, Iceman was considered high tier but when the game EVOLVED (<--- keyword), iceman barely made it into middle tier.
EDIT: Psylocke, commando, and doom are not in S tier they are only good because of their assist, again instead of figuring how to beat sentinel you just whine. I certainly know that I'm not a very good player and I'm assuming you aren't Sanford or Yipes, so unless your a top player, sentinel shouldn't be your problem. LESS QQ AND MOAR PEWPEW.
Oh wells I haven't seen a single Sent player that has done otherwise, but I'm only playing 5th lords so probably not the best people to judge on game balance, my bad

I thought Cable was the most broken mvc2 character lol

He isn't. In fact in a 1v1 cable is barely middle tier, he only makes it into god tier because on a team he can just: cable assist -> "HYPER VIPER! HYPER VIPER! HYPER VIPER!" -> win
oh and play a good keep away with the right assists (captain commando, cyclops, ect).

You probably should also explain to them that Sentinel is still "too good" because he does everything well. He is "broken" in terms of viable picks. He has a great assist, easy to DHC into, armor, X-factor rape which makes him an awesome 3rd and on point he is still great.
It's not just the beam spam, or the x factor, or the assist, or the armor, or the monstrous HP that make him great - it's all of these on one character.
Here's the beauty of the situation. Capcom is planning more DLC characters, that means more patches, and since there is no arcade release Capcom is free to balance and tweak the game with every patch and honestly this is probably Capcom's masterpiece in terms of character balance.
Sentinel definitely feels like Sagat felt in Vanilla. Not unbeatable but certainly has the upper hand regardless of who's playing him.
Marvel 3 is already pretty advanced in terms of break-down and understanding and the only thing I see that could hurt Sentinels current position as top of the pack is new techs being discovered and you can't count on that.
And as Z said you cannot argue balance when you think that its his laser that's broken.
