For example, back in the early days of MvC2, Iceman was considered high tier but when the game EVOLVED (<--- keyword), iceman barely made it into middle tier. Yeah, you're not entirely wrong, but there are a few things you're missing here. 1. MvC2 was released at a time when a serious competitive scene barely existed, at least compared to the way it is today. It took people years to figure out the original Starcraft, but it's taking them much less time to figure out SC2, because there are more serious players and they're better at the game to begin with. 2. In a new game, keepaway chars are always better, because they're easier to play to their potential and harder to play against. Iceman is that type of character. Sentinel, however, is not a keepaway character and yet everyone is complaining about him. That does not happen often. 3. Capcom has horrible balance testing. They churn out these games like 99c tacos. It's not exactly a stretch to think that they may have missed something here. The good news? Patches. Let's just hope, if anything is indeed overpowered, Capcom will use the console as a method to keep their games patched and balanced. I wouldn't hold my breath, but it is possible.

It's buffin up the epeen on leaderboards, but Im gonna get wrecked at a tourney this friday I bet >.< Starting to reconsider keeping chun as my anchor vs dante, I don't think I use her assist enough to be worth it and dante seems like the better point char. Still, I might be best off going the other direction and try to whore out doom assist instead. Need more time to practice! Can dante do full keepaway or does he have to mix it up to keep his options good? He's next on my list of chars to hit the lab with.

Magneto is sick but not as good as he was, still trying to figure out a way to combo chain magnetic tempest. Wesker is a beast, his special is pretty easy to pull off in the air during a combo and he can teleport, run across the screen super fast and do good damage, can play some keep away but is best at offense. Also Taskmaster is a great character, can perform combos well even his ground combos are strong with web swing. Still learning spiderman, I learned if you press Special and any Attack at the same time you shoot a web in a direction and fly towards it. I'm sure it can be useful in situations to continue combos but I haven't found anything. He can combo out of web swing and also use Heavy spider sting and chain into his launcher for air combos. So I like pretty much 90% of the characters which is a HUGE improvement over MvC2 where even tho there were more characters I only liked about 8 which is around 12%. Basically I been using these characters, ordered from favorite to least: Wesker, Phoenix, Magneto, Dr. Doom, Task Master

He's next on my list of chars to hit the lab with. his keepaway is meh at best. u can float in the air strumming his guitar (j.QCF B) and do kalina ann (QCF.C) or artemis tricks (QCF.A?). its bad how dante is one of my main chars atm but i still don't know ALL his moves off the top of my head. i mainly just call ammy, put em in block stun and do teleport high/lows or airdash crossups. his j.B is really nice. its still mindboggling how good mag's disruptor is. u can really just keepaway with it alone its so fast. gonna work on that ammy 2morrow
