I've played the game for 33 hours since it was Steam's weekend deal, and now I'm wondering if it's worth getting BNW?

There's a lot to take in, but it definitely turns Civ V into a real Civ game in terms of complexity.

I haven't played any previous Civ (other than a quick demo of Civ4(I think)), so I cannot really compare. Will not be able to play much this week, but will look more into it later

Because of how much more opportunity cost there is in every build choice, tech progress has a much slower feel to it, and as a result I feel perpetually behind when in fact that may not be the case.

I had a few: this BPT at turn 150 looks terrible, I must be last... check demographics... first lolz.

![]() Sadly it's so easy to find a key somewhere other than steam that's way cheaper, so it's not really worth it buying through steam just so you can VPN for a couple of days of headstart.
