I am really bad, though, since I wasn't even a dota or hon player before. I have been playing singed and I think I found a pretty good build(due to this thread) but I am still trying to decide which abilities to level up first. Would you take his toss(e) first to threaten a gank? Maybe his poison trial(q) to help farm? I could also see glue depending on who you are laning with, although it can be really hard to capitalize on. Thoughts? | ||

Poison at level 1 is kinda weak and I would recommend only using it sparingly to farm, and just last hit a lot until it gets to level 2, where it gets a lot better. The general concensus is that fling will help you for a first blood more than poison will, but I find leaving poison on, and ghosting beside running people to poison and smack them as they run is also quite reliable. After fling and poison at levels 1/2, you want to max poison as fast as possible. It's your main source of damage, and you'll farm extremely quick with it. After poison/fling/poison or fling/poison/poison, a lot of people build him differently. I get one rank of goo at level 4, and then proceed to max the skills in the order of ult -> poison -> goo -> fling. You can switch the order of goo and fling if you want, but you'll want at least one rank it goo to get that slow. | ||

It's all about taking advantage of your passive. You should aim to use your ulti not once, but TWICE every teambattle. You can still deal major damage with shumpo (AP) or BB (AD) so she's doesn't suck even if her ulti gets cancelled. Plus she should be packing exhaust and ignite as well. Use all of this to get assists (sometimes kills), and then use your passive to spam the crap out of your four skills. She has plenty of Effective HP while her killer instinct is up and with Rylais she is a really bad person to focus fire on. If you get focused as Kat while killer instinct is up and died, be happy, you probably soaked up like 6000 damage. banshees sounds good and all but i feel it doesn't serve its job well enough. there's usually SOMEONE with AOE that'll pop the bubble so that you stil end up getting stunned (ever seen a nunu with banshees pull off a perfect full ult in a team battle?). with GA sometimes i jump in, die, THEN use lotus when they don't expect it. also, it lets me die more without really dying. and to juicyfruit - kobe and i run ignite/flash. solanir runs ignite/cleanse -______- also are the Utahime premade crew boycotting this tourney? | ||

@Gozey -- you'll want a separate channel for this. Otherwise LiquidParty will be insane. @Nony -- if you play on the US server, just drop in on the Liquid Party channel. There's usually 10+ people in there, and we do a lot of premades w/vent. | ||

Flash and cleanse doesn't get you an extra opportunity for an assist, exhaust does. That's why I like it. I understand the use for flash, though. Spin while flashing into brush = sick. If kat grabs golem, the cooldown of her lotus goes down to less than 40 seconds with mastery/runes, so you can get 2 lotus out of 2 assists only. I've tried this earlier and getting 2 lotus during teamfights is definitely reasonable. I'm not saying you should always expect to get 2 lotus. I was just stating what I like to do when I'm against a very cc-heavy team. I mean, if you're fighting a team where all 5 members have a way of stopping your lotus, then its probably not going to go through even if you go in last. In that case, you should just aim for multiple uses of lotus in teamfights instead. Usually, people only pay attention to Kat up to the point where she uses her lotus, then ignores her and focus on other targets. I have yet to fight a team that can coordinate well enough to stop my death lotus twice. Either they ignore me and get spinned to death, or they panic and use too many cc's, and lose the teamfight anyways. It's better than saving your death lotus for the end, only to score 2 assists along the way anyways. P.S. Please ban heal teams in the tournament. | ||
