CUZ IM READY!!! They need to release energy regen runes for Shen cause ive been ready and it seems like they arent coming anymore
I thought this was coming next patch. I seem to recall reading about them, though it didn't make any sense (something like "+0.8 energy regen per minute", which is obviously wrong). Still, I'd think you'd rather run dodge seals on Shen...no?

I think I'm playing exclusively Pantheon this week. He's too much fun to me right now. No one understands him mid and it's pretty much just free kills throughout laning. Had a game last night where I was level 9 before their mid hit level 6 because of how much I was killing her/forcing her back.
|
Fucking Kassadin keeps sending me to losses. He counters like the top 4 "OP" heroes in the game atm it's nasty.
|
he's all like, "BLINK, hai Janna! SILENCE, SLOW, BLINK, u ded!"
|
It's not vs Janna, I just lost a game an hour ago Shen Jax Janna Ashe Ryze Singed Jax Kass Corki Janna
We got rocked after about 30 minutes, their Kass just completely shut down our Jax, it was terrible :/
|
how does Kass shut down Jax? That one doesn't make sense to me. Seems like he just counters good roaming heroes.
EDIT: also you really just lost cause of Singed, he's stupid and imba and there are no counters to him he just kills everything and is a stupid character.
|
A jax that cannot leap and cannot move doesn't sound very scary. Plus a fed Kass probably takes 40% of Jax's health in 1 burst.
|
Silenced Jax can't leap/stun/empower, and the burst damage from Kass really hurts him. It's time "lost" and coupled with being blinded by Corki and tossed by Janna it really f's him up.
Silence also fucked up our Shen during cleanup (no feint).
And ofc Kass > Ryze/Ashe.
It just sucked. They'd basically spike down Jax ASAP and because of Kass it's REALLY easy to do, and then after that he just picks shit off like a good Kass.
The complete and utter lack of AoE really helps his (and many other heroes' ) survivability :/
Granted we mainly lost cuz their Corki player was cho gosu, but yeah. That fucker farmed sooooo fast I wish I could watch a replay.
|
psh, I would've just jumped on him and stabbed the shit out of his ass
|
I think he would have Cleansed, Valkyrie'd, and then beat your ass down with Liz buff.
|
depends if it were after 25 minutes into the game or not -_-.
|
This guy had 140 creep kills like 15 minutes into the game LOL
Edit: I can't repeat it enough, I wish I could figure out what these Corkis do to farm so much. I'm sure our Ashe wasn't that great (he missed so many arrows -_-) so that might have factored into it, but he was really, really good.
Edit2: It's amazing how much game pressure a farming Corki puts. I swear to god for about 10 minutes Shen and I were just tabbing every minute to look at his rising creepkill count, just going aw fuck aw fuck, but he was ungankable because roaming Kass + Janna and Valkyrie. Our only hope was for Jax to carry us but Kass shut him down and that was it. Brutal, brutal. He ended the game 2-1-12 which is pretty poor compared to, say, his 10-3-6 Jax (our Ashe 5-5-5 our Jax 6-6-4) but yeah. Filthy. Makes you realize how much a good Corki can take over a game.
|
I keep telling myself I should really stop playing Mundo... but then I have games like this one: + Show Spoiler + Their Twitch had 40 creepkills to my 80 by 10 minutes.

By the way have you thought about getting Veil on Pantheon against anything but Ashe, to protect your Heartseeker?
Edit: The whole game I just felt like I need to learn a true carry, instead of relying on gimmicks like Kat/Janna/Jax.
|
yea, I used to get it all the time, but I stopped for whatever reason (I think it was just a big string of games vs. Ashe players). I should probably get back into the habit of picking it up vs. certain team comps.
EDIT: but real carries are boring. gimmicky carries like kat and panth are way more fun until the game drags out to 40 minutes.

Well it's not so much the boredom part so much as the pressure, at least from my perspective. I really hate/fear fucking up when the game is centered around me. Sorry for being a wuss :p
Anyways a lot of it boils down to me being used to switching heroes to fill in roles, and becoming frustrated when there're missing roles, because more often than not when that happens we lose. Sorry Hypnotic, but AP Yi basically exacerbates the problem, and I also sort of play to win (as I find fun in winning), so dicking around is solely left to practice games for me.
When I played carries for a while (mainly Ashe) I found we had no support hero, no tanks, etc. Then I started playing tanks and no one wanted to play support heroes NOR carries, then when I play a support hero now I find people playing carries on my team usually suck ass. So now carrying is limited to just when I'm fucking around, and because I haven't played carries in so long when I try it in solo-queue I definitely feel like I'm the worst player in the game, which blows.
What annoys me now is that I'm playing a hero that basically extends games into late-game for free, and we even play with a carry most of the time (chibi on TF) but we're losing anyways because we have a mishmash of crappy heroes, people whacking their tanks, etc. or when I don't play Janna we can't extend it and everyone's playing a hero with no disables etc. it's just a big fat clusterfuck. I mean hell if we're gonna play heroes that're fun and not care about winning I can play Eve and Shaco, because they're "fun," but I can pretty much guarantee we're not gonna win. Though ironically we lost that game where I switched off of Shaco for your blood pressure's sake and I really regretted not staying on Shaco. Doubt we would have won anyways but it would have been amusing to see the jungle steal etc.
Well, whatever.
Edit: Because Baikin asked me this once before. "Don't you like Malphite(and now Janna)?" Because the last time I got annoyed like this was when I was playing Malph.
I like the heroes, but I like them because they swing games heavily in our favor, as opposed to when I'm not playing them. They're "good." They mesh well with other heroes, and they both buy lots of time and are very disruptive. But if I wanted to play a hero I like I'd play a selfish hero that can fuck around and do stupid shit, like Shaco/Eve/Kassadin (although now Kass is actually viable). But I'm pretty sure that the majority of the time if I play those heroes we'll lose. Because I'm playing support/tank heroes, and we usually don't have anyone to fill those shoes (aside from Turkey on Shen).
So, the majority of the time when we start losing all I get is frustrated because I can see when people are being retarded etc, and you can only do so much with support/tanks. It's not fun, then. I mean you've seen my Janna records, and you know what makes me happy - it's when I have a "perfect" game (no deaths) or when I nullify a gank or substitute Janna for a carry's death. That's all fun and all if the people I'm defending are going to carry us to a win later, but when I'm repeatedly saving people just so they can fuck up again 5 seconds later it's grating.
Or in the case of that one game, when I'm sitting there just to see fucking TF push a dead lane (why????) alone and get 2v1 ganked IN THEIR BASE by Shaco, costing us the inhib kill at bottom tower and getting half our team killed even though I was sitting there in the middle of my team with fucking Gale and Ult still up which snowballs into a game loss, it's more than just infuriating.
Edit2: It's kind of like that Malph vs Malph game, don't remember if you were there. He beat me to Sunfire by like 10 minutes. Part of it was because I opened Aegis (someone else on their team made Aegis). Part of it was that I bought like 8 wards before I made my Sunfire. Which is fine, because I'm obsessive about warding and I don't mind paying for it. But if you think I'd not like to splurge on items, you're kidding yourself. Of course I woulda liked the Sunfire earlier. It might have even turned the game around, as opposed to me running into a better-tanking Malph. Especially when considering I look back to find 4 people beating on the Sunfire Malph and me 1v3ing their carries. Hell yeah I would have liked Sunfire there.
Or many vs jungler games where I ward up their jungle as Janna and underlevel myself to disrupt their jungler. I'd like to have a fast Zhon instead of blowing money and levels on wards to screw up their jungler. Does anyone think it's actually *fun* running around with Boots of Mobility and 3 wards 15 minutes into the game? It's funny if it leads to a win, sure, because you just dicked their jungler out of a game, but it's not fun, especially if the game ends up being a one-sided loss *anyways*, even moreso when you look up and say "dude I coulda played that better than you" etc. and wonder why you bothered wasting 30 minutes playing to win instead of playing to have fun. Because it doesn't take skill to ward and fuck up their jungler, it just takes the willingness to do it, which most people don't have.

*shrugs* let's just pick champs before getting to champion select so that we can avoid the clusterfuck. the biggest problem I've been noticing is that we're lucky to have 3 people in our pre-mades recently and that means that when our pubs go shaco + gragas it's just sorta like, "uhhhhhhh, fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck"
|
Ironically, we won that game, where our pubs were Shaco + Gragas. Was pretty one-sided if I remember correctly, too o/
|
lol, yea, we crushed it \o
I was Pantheon, and even though Shaco and Gragas suck, they suck for the same reason as Pantheon, no end game scaling. So we just rolled them before the game got to the point where our champions' limitations would show up. Maybe we need to focus more on what point we wish to end the game. If you're playing Janna and shooting for a 40 minute game and I'm playing Pantheon and need to end it under 30, that's sorta a recipe for disaster even if we can completely maul the opposite lane early. Bleh, I dunno, Sunday night was so awful, I don't even know how to prevent that from happening again because I'm still not exactly sure if the blame lies somewhere within our premade or if we just had bad luck on pubs. Last night was good though, lots of steamrolling teams as Pantheon.
