With the builds being discussed, you're regenerating almost that much *every second*. That said, rupture's range is excellent, and unlike the other characters who are eligible for this, Cho is a tank, which is a huge plus (I think rupture has the longest range of any tank's skill). I'm not sure who the best champ to pair him with is. Janna? Heimer? Sivir? Anivia? Which of the other very-long-range champs would get the most use from innervating locket? Or do you go dual soul-shroud? As long as you're running a silly double-MM lane, might as well run another cheesy build in the other lane. How about a Shaco with all crit-damage runes, open with longsword/jitb, kill lizard when it spawns, take deceive at level 2, then deceive for auto crit (+100%) + crit damage runes(+50.61%) + + shaco's passive(+25%) + masteries (+10%) on his base damage of 50 + 20 from longsword + 3 from masteries times 1.05 from masteries = 218.92 damage (plus lizard buff -- not sure what that adds). Gotta run ignite as a summoner spell, of course (maybe exhaust too?). The longsword even builds into madred's for him. Not sure who best pairs with that, nor who you'd want for solo mid on this team.

If I were in a lane, I'd probably take a sapphire crystal and a health pot because like you said, the regen wouldn't let me spam it anyway and the sapphire crystal builds into catalyst, which is important in a cho build when you're laning on the sides. Middle you don't have to because you start to stack out feast way earlier and you don't need the mana recovery because you'll be grabbing golem with feast really early, plus your passive lets you rupture kill the wraiths in 2 hits for exp/hp/mp regen. As a side note, I do that with shaco anyway without the crit runes (armor pen!) and run exhaust/ignite. Usually I open boots because the lizard lets you kill as long as you can catch. Sometimes it gets me the double first blood though haha. Usually I try to hit mid with it because it basically wins the game :D.

me Morgana Shen Soraka Ashe It was hilarious... team babysit Ashe ftw :p. like, the battle would start up, they'd try to focus ashe, black shield, they try to just attack, essense flux + soraka shit, things get too hairy, here comes shen ult, lmao. I think Ashe ended with double the kills of the rest of the team combined :p.

No need for too high level stuff, just what champions might work (soraka for heals? morgana for snare?)

If I were to specifically recommend someone, it would be someone with good range and perhaps some CC, two things where Kat is lacking. Ashe's frost arrow/volley, as just one example, would give Kat a nice slow enemy to shunpo on to and start bringing the pain. Mundo's cleaver, Cho's rupture, Morgana's snare...you're not starved for choices.

And the guy was like OMG WTF BS IT STOPPED THE ULT. We were kinda speechless.

When he has a bunch of people babysitting him, he could go off and grab a cup of coffee at the start of a teamfight and come back just in time to hear the "Penta Kill!" announcement. Jax Ezreal Soraka Shen Zilean O lawd. Edit: On that note, considering the deadly viciousness of such a team, I'm surprised I haven't seen more of them. I'm finding it brutally tough killing Soraka-supported teams of late >_o

Maybe the problem is that there aren't really that many "good" Jax players, and it's tough finding enough players that can play a semi-support role.

My point being that I like unusual team compositions that look to work outside of the simple, Tank initiates and disables and then everyone blows their burst damage load team fight strategy. EDIT: and oh, I don't really know what constitutes a "good" Jax... like, what does he have to do? it seems outside of last hitting well early to keep your build on track and having a decent build, there's not a whole lot to think about with him... *shrugs* I dunno, I've just never felt like anything outside of build has made me think that my team's Jax is "good" or "bad"

No need for too high level stuff, just what champions might work (soraka for heals? morgana for snare?) if not then someone with stun or heal/shield. blitz is always a fun laning partner and alistar never gets old. i'd imagine janna and ez are good too. with kat early game hyper aggression will win the day. so whatever helps that, whether it is another hero that can harass aggressively or a hero that can support you in your aggression. get an edge early and you can totally shut down your opponents. oh and IMO soraka is better laning with someone who has mana. Leaving that aside, build (you'd be surprised how many people build him badly), farming speed (many people are sloooooooooow in this game), understanding of when you can kill what (mostly Jax experience), target selection, and stun timing really factors into the skill level of a Jax. It's especially visible if you play, for instance, a Twitch against Jax. Good Jaxes will absolutely not let you go. Bad Jaxes will leap into combat and not have it in time to leap to you.
