Not to mention he also had his behind the backboard dunk, which was also fucking sick. But no, Nate Robinson gets to win after lulling us to sleep trying 901872043981720347 times to get his stupid dunk down.

"Charles Barkley is so bad at golf I stopped inviting him to my tournament" "I use the alias Leroy Smith at times" and he goes on to explain that Smith is the guy who made the team over Jordan way back.

Kobe and Vince are over the hill, though. Lebron, James White, Dwight Howard... and I guess Josh Smith. I'm ok with Gerald Wallace and leaving a spot for Nate (for comparison).

All-star weekend changes venues every year. The 1988 weekend was in Chicago and the NBA made sure that Jordan would win the dunk contest in his hometown. Nique did an ultra-powerful two handed windmill for his final dunk and they gave him a 45. Jordan then dramatically backed all the way up to the other baseline and did the free throw line dunk. That would be fine except for the fact that he did the exact same free throw line dunk in the semifinals. Of course, the judges gave him a 50 (which is what he needed to win) and Jordan emerged victorious in a most compelling fashion.

Same concept different execution. And Nique's gather windmill wasn't really that impressive, his dunks were similar throughout the night save one.

By far the best part, though, is when they go to Craig Sager who pulled Nique (who doesn't look pleased) aside for a post-contest interview, and mysterious microphone issues prevent the interview from going down. When they "fixed" the issue, they just scratched the Nique interview and had Sager talk to Jordan. I have the entire original broadcast and can upload it if you want to see the hilarity. On a semi-related note, Nique's first dunk in the finals is my favorite dunk of all time.
