Also, I got a question. I am looking up some touhou jazz albums, thanks to some of the chats we had with the Sanae brohou. I found the albums I am looking for, but I found some medley versions of the songs on youtube.
The circle in question is 東京アクティブNEETs (Tokyo Active Neets) and the albums in question are 東方爆音ジャズ and 東方爆音ジャズ2 (uhh, I think that just translates phonetically, so "Touhou Bakuon Jazz")
My question is, does anyone know if these medleys only exist on youtube/nnd, or is there some other album that includes them? I mean, is my only option to rip them off youtube?
holy fuck that first medley is pretty good, still listening ~
and lol it's actual real people playing (and they show it! ) :D
wow very nice playing, the technical skill isn't even that great, but the arrange + control and tone and etc. is great, it sounds like a jazz band but it's not exactly that jazzy, and still has the ZUN feel (trumpet lol) and is mostly faithful
Anyways,
anyone know (hopefully aeres?) if these touhou circles usually are like, full time job (if that's possible to live on it...) or if they are just side jobs/hobbies? perhaps the ones that are synthesized (like SSH, vs using real people) make more money, since you don't need to be a pro player, just need to arrange, and so don't need to spend time practicing
Lol thoguht it sounded familiar or weird... the part at 4:32 sounds just like 0:53 of the main theme of the OUTSTANDING anime Steins;gate (top tier anime) + Show Spoiler +

not touhou but this song is quite beautiful and fits the show really well
My mind works in a weird way. When I feel down or depressed, watching depressing movies/reading depressing books/looking at depressing images actually makes me feel better instead of worse. I felt a bit down today, so screw you guys.
EDIT: Sorry, Yoshi, but I have no knowledge of circle logistics. Your best bet would be to check the Touhou wiki or ask someone who's in that line of activity.
My job is to tell you what song is playing, not to tell you how much they're getting paid to play it.
(which I posted here previously) and was walking outside at night
Then at 9:20 of the song, wind starts to blow pretty hard and leaves fall off the trees around me and swirl around Was the most exhilarating experience I have felt in a long long time The soft part of the song before it made for a nice crescendo~
Bonus points if you understand exactly why the last picture is heartbreaking. No using the Internet to find the answer. Gotta rely on your current knowledge.
JSH, that sounds like a scene from a sappy chick flick. -_-
Oh then I don't know Not really a Pokemon fan here.
I actually wanted to know if the medleys existed in the form on the two youtube links I posted, and not the individual songs found on the albums :< Thanks though
Anyway, I think we hit a threshold on the amount of heart-break in this thread (especially of Lonely Alice, poor Alice :<) so I'm going to balance it all out :D
Well no, each song in the album is a full version of the song. The medley just takes like 1 to 2 minutes from each song and seam them together.
I think it's just some promotion thingie the circle thing did to promote their album :< I kinda hoped they actually had the medley version of their songs available somewhere. Maybe they'll include them in a future album.
so many good and cute pictures The one with yuyoko eating people is........ ahh!!!
Also, it seems like the medley is just promotion I guess you can rip it off youtube still tho :D
That reminds me lol, sometimes I hear these promotion demo things, where I can't tell if it's a medley or not at first since they blend together well xD
and that thing behind her is just a walking rice ball thing then eh
Looking closer at the medley videos, lol no duh it's not just 1 recording each video, they change outfits and shit xD Thought it was played all together at once, but I guess it's not. Seems like they recorded each of their songs like that (like perhaps if you buy the album it comes with video of each song, not just audio?) and just spliced them together for these "medleys"
Anyway they made it blend together quite well, good demo ? xD
