Sakuya > Meiling: Knives. Knives everywhere. Sakuya < Meiling Lost terribly, LOL. Kept running into Chinese anti-air. Alice < Meiling Yeah I have no idea how to play Alice. Suika > Meiling Button mash keeps game really close, score is 1-1, 7% Suika, 5% Meiling, Meiling knocks Suika down to 3% hp just as giant catfish lands for the kill. Final score: Caller 6:2 Kaal How do you hit the Phantasmal Killer? Aside from random hits from it, I never get anything done with it. I personally have heavy problems against Meiling in general until I get Perfect Maid up and even then it's all about the Perfect Maid timing. Then again, I play a bit passively because I don't have the skill to hit everything. Might be problematic. What setups do Sakuya players here generally play with? My main deck(I don't like using specific counter-decks. I would if I would know how to counter what.): -4 Magic Star Sword (My main attack skill of choice. Good for everything really, can finish a combo or two as well and because the knives are so fast, there is no real reason not to use this. I like it upgraded.) -3 Perfect Maid (No brainer in my honest opinion. Vanishing Everything is good, but a bit more situational than Perfect Maid as every character wants to melee at some point. I feel that Time Paradox is just bad. It finishes a couple comboes fine, but that's about it. -1 Time Sign "Imaginary Vertical Time" (It's a good suppress card and forces the opponent to either graze at you, graze in the air while losing energy, or be static and block. All those situations are in most cases into my advantage. It can finish a combo or two, but it's a bit tricky to use as a finisher) -2 Watch "Luna Dial" (Dash -> Light Magic -> Luna Dial. That's all. If done correctly, I haven't found my opponents blocking/grazing it. I fail this a lot and allow them to do that though. Dash -> Light Magic -> Luna Dial -> Melee Range Magic Star Sword spam does a good amount of damage.) -1 Scarred Soul "Soul Sculpture" (A combo finisher. A great combo finisher.) -2 Magic Potion (Good for healing destroyed orbs and in situations, where you can attack the opposing corner.) -3 Stopwatch (I have found some uses for this card. Mainly used to cover distance and alternatively to link some attacks. I like the versatility of this card as it can be used in defence, although a bit tricky to, and in offense.) -4 Hakurouken (Honestly, I'm a bit hesitant to actually keep Hakuroukens in my main deck because the only thing I use them for are either after dash-Melees or to do melee comboes, mostly Melee -> stop before last hit -> down-Light Magic -> Hakurouken -> Melee combo. Continue if enough orbs.

Continue if enough orbs. Phantasmal Killer I tend to use as an airborne defensive card, like when I'm anticipating an enemy attack. Because it activates much faster than Killing Doll, an enemy counter usually can't stop the knives in time, and then the knives will hit the enemy that just tried to stop your spell card after your "overcommitting." It's free 4k damage lul. Against Kaal's Meiling all I pretty much do is fly around kiting with knives until his graze ends and he gets hit by them, and then i lol in his face while he rages about how weak Meiling is. Meiling has good ground-to-ground and good ground-to-air but her air-to-air and air-to-ground is terrible. It also didn't hurt that his pc was lagging lololol The deck I'm currently running is: 4 Square Ricochet-The lone knife is useful for stopping charges because it comes from behind, and often is hard to see with all of sakuya's other knives running around. It's a good cheap shot to set up for combos. I like magic star sword but because my fingers are fat its virtually impossible to get it off reliably. 3 Perfect Maid-because Dio is a boss. 3 Eternal Meek-It's like a 2 card version of Soul Sculpture, just less accurate. It's good in corners though, and is a nice general walling card that you can use to force your opponent back on the defensive. 1 Inscribed Red Soul-A weaker Soul Sculpture, but when I'm pressed for cards it's a nice one to have, especially when I use it and bait for Eternal Meek, or vice versa. 1 Luminous Ricochet-Mostly kept for pinning people down as well as for anti-air, because this lets me hit them from below where they can't block. 2 Luna Dial-Duh, time stop. I fucking suck at landing this though, but every single Sakuya I've seen uses it so I figure it has its uses. 2 Phantasmal Killer-Like I said, a nice defense card to use in the air. 2 Soul Sculpture-Good finisher for combos. It costs a shitload though. 1 C. Ricochet-A way to keep people overly defensive because if they mistime the ricochet they take 4k damage for free. So usually they'll try to retreat during this card, where you can take your time and set up for a guard break or something. 1 ZAWARUDO-no explanation needed. A good card to use when the enemy is falling down and you have time to cast. I don't tend to use system cards because I am bad at this game. My Youmu deck is full of rainments and folding fans though, they're nice to have to beat people down. Like Meiling.

It also didn't hurt that his pc was lagging lololol In my opinion, Meiling feels like Utsuho that requires more skill, but that has far more damage potential. I fear Meiling more than Utsuho or Suika, that's for sure. Then again, I haven't played any competent players. Talking about skill, I really need to fix my Remilia(my secondary) play, as if my Sakuya play is good enough -_-. The combos I know for Sakuya are basically: Melee -> Stop before last hit -> down-Light Magic -> normal-Heavy Magic -> Magic Star Sword/A fast Spell if corner situation(Soul Sculpture should be able to hit) (Non-contact Melee(the kick) ->) forward-Melee(the stomp) -> down-Light Magic -> Cross-up Magic Aerial - down-Melee(the kick that makes the opponent bounce from the ground) -> Light Magic -> Magic Star Sword And the most troll one: Melee -> Stop before last hit -> down-Light Magic -> Heavy Magic forcing him into a corner -> correctly timed Imaginary Vertical Time -> close in -> Full Melee combo for Limit. If you are using heavy spell card deck, I would suggest using Ibuki Gourds to have the ability of having more cards to use. You trade some deckspace for faster card drawing. Coming from semi-competitive card gaming, drawing cards is important and should always be considered, even if it might not be the best decision.

Thanks ! Also, too bad my 3k post wasn't in this thread. But it's ok, I post a lot regularly so it shouldn't take more than a few months to get to 4k :D

So I never have to worry about drawing cards.

So I got the first part to extract just fine, but when I renamed the 2nd part and tried to extract, it said it did not find an archive. (when I got rid of the tag, they turned into RAR instead of 7zip... maybe that's why?) I'm assuming that part 2 is just all the BGM music though, since I don't have any lol

C80 Hype! - Demetori announced his participation back in May, but no idea if he's releasing anything new... - ENS! Hope nayuta is in it this time (http://yfrog.com/gy4f5okj) - Amateras Records' release has a number of Nico Nico Singers which gets me giddy (F9/wotamin in particular) (http://amateras-records.com/?p=632) - more awesome piano from As/Hi (http://ashisoundworks.smat.ne.jp/0007_web/ashi0007.html) - never heard of AsparTate, but the crossfade is nice, esp. the last track (http://www.rvdavid.me/aspartate_003/) - another double release arrange/original by Tatsh - more awesome jazz/lounge by DDBY, flap+frog and TOHO JAZZ MESSENGER - UnluckyMorpheus! (http://sound.jp/ankimo/hmbb.xhtm) - probably more...too many tracklists/crossfades to go through On a side note, I remember discussion about bakeneko/Assaultdoor a number of pages back. They couldn't get a spot =\ They'll be at Touhou Kouroumo though.
