MoF also has a very unpunishing easy mode.
huh?
MoF has almost infinite bombs. You don't even have to fight the bosses. You can skip them by bombing every single boss spellcard + their non spell. You can bomb the stages too (just the hard parts) and still be able to finish the game with several extra lives.
And this works with every difficulty level.
I'm pretty sure that's why he said "unpunishing" as opposed to the opposite. You must have misread that.
As for the focused movement bit, once you get good and start doing score runs, you'll want to minimize that. IN is the best example for this, where you can gather more points by not using focused shot types and farming familiars by not shooting at certain points of stages.
To add, the sensitivity in the games are fine, you'll just have to learn to twitch by lightly tapping the directional keys as opposed to holding them. The best way to dodge is to minimize movement and graze, with the exception of patterns which force you to move.
You are right, I need to learn how to read T_T
And for IN scoring. That's a good advice, but if you are using solo youkai character you need a different strategy.
After ...I don't know how many times I'm beginning to understand why most people simply don't do this. I mean Remi is hard enough on Lunatic without trying to do a perfect run but holy crap...
There is just so much random bullshit in Touhou 6, far far more than the ones that come after. Getting a perfect on Stage 6 is pretty much impossible without ReimuA because the fairies in the beginning of the stage rape you without homing bullets and there is little you can do about it. This sucks for me in particular as I am an almost exclusive Marisa or other Focus Fire player here. I just like ending cards faster.
Sakuya's non spell card gimps me 5 times out of 6 it seems like by throwing completely unavoidable walls in my face. In reality it's less but it sure feels like 5 out of 6. It's probably closer to 25% or so.
Eternal Meek is also completely random. It's just pure luck hoping Sakuya doesn't send too much shit in your direction at once. My success rate on this spell is something like 124/400 and it's NOT improving, despite my increasing familiarization to it. That 400 does not include my rage quits when I die early.
Luckily Remilia's non spell cards are all easy so they aren't a problem. Her spell cards are dumb though.
Young Demon Lord is relatively tame for me. It can throw unavoidable walls at you but I'm finding myself not getting into that position as often the more I run into this card. It's fairly random but there are ways to give yourself enough space to panic dodge if you want.
Mountain of a Thousand Needles is a joke in comparison to the rest of the stage. I rarely die here anymore. Unfortunately it's just the calm before the storm
Vampire Illusion... Normally I'd rant and rave about how retarded and unfair this card is...but it's nowhere near as bad as the two that follow it. That being said it throws unavoidable walls at you probably a quarter of the time. The next quarter you might die just because it's a decently difficult card and the other half you capture it.
Scarlet Meister...This card is plain hard. That's all there is to it. It's fast, it's a lot of bullets, and there is no down time. It's just hard. I still consider this card in the top 3 difficulty wise of spell cards.. The worst part is that it isn't even "unfair" hard...the shit is avoidable it's just hard to avoid.
Scarlet Gensokyo is just Vampire Illusion on steroids. I've gotten to this card on my perfect run a total of three times. Those three tries I was walled with no conceivable escape. That being said I have an easier time with this card than I do with Scarlet Meister. If I make it to Gensokyo a few more times I'll be good...but man Scarlet Meister is rape.
Phantasm Romance is probably one of the best Fan made Touhou games...up there with Concealed the Conclusion.
Phantasm Romance has a huge emphasis on speed dodging which with my continued runs on Eternal Meek and Scarlet Meister is necessary as it's a weak point of mine.
On the upside I was able to perfect IN Extra Stage with all the practice I've been putting in EoSD. It was almost laughable in comparison.
Good job with your perfect run, does Eternal Meek's blind spot not work on lunatic? I just 1cc'd SA for the first time on normal...thats about as good as I am at these.

Nice Maid arrange, I don't think I've ever heard a Touhou arrange with a male voice yet... kekekek
Most of the songs by RegaSound has the same male vocalist and are great too :> Some other ones I like are the male vocalist from MAIKAZE and 709sec. from SOUND HOLIC But yeah, there certainly is a lot more female vocals

Much confusion and clarification for me. Then I read several pages and became confused again.
Touhou is a part of the modern day general culture Reimu X Marisa, or Marisa X Alice which one is better?
EDIT: Also, a really nice arrangement of Rural Makai City Esoteria, by Magnum Opus. I never really knew how the song went before, and just kinda assumed it was mediocre, but I've changed my mind. Sorry, Reisen, but my favorite Stage 5 themes choice on Caller's poll has switched to Shou. :3
