Yeah, there were touhou things for sale. Our table was the only doujin table, and we have touhou doujinshis and artbooks for sale. There were other misc. touhou items from other booths too, off the top of my head, our friend at the booth right next to us had these touhou figurines for sale, there was a random hina print from across from us, and somewhere on the other side of the hall, there were a americanized-style touhou mini-poster for sale.

Anyway, if you live in Vancouver, there are still more cons coming up. This coming weekend, and the following weekend both have conventions my sister and I are attending. Def go if you wanna meet some tlthdt members (so far just me and Chrono in Vancouver.. TT) and possibly buy some stuff :D

A print is like a poster even smaller than what I would call a "mini-poster". It could be as small as post-card sized, but that one was about regular printing paper size.

About a year ago, my little stepbrother heard me listening to + Show Spoiler [this] +

and wanted it on his iPod. His musical taste is pretty weird for a ten-year old... he listens to all sorts of music that one doesn't really associate with when one is ten years old. A few days ago, I heard him listening to Ezel Ash again, and I was like, "Why exactly do you like that song?". He said (in that roundabout ten-year-old way) that he likes the idea of an instrumental, and then asked me if I could help him find some more songs like that.

Gentlemen. This is the hour. The moment is upon us... to create a new Touhoufag.

When he comes over next weekend, I'm gonna do my best to introduce him to new Touhou songs. Like I said, his taste in music is pretty odd, but I think he's a fan of the piano-with-guitar style. I'm gonna try and see if he likes minami from IOSYS, but other than that, I'm not really sure what other similar circles (or just particular songs) might interest him. Therefore, I am enlisting the services of the TLTHDT army to assist me!

Here are the qualifications for circles/songs:

Must be instrumental. No vocals, unless they're just a chorus and not actual singing.
Priority is on songs with a mixture of piano and guitar. I don't want CROW'SCLAW-level guitar, but it can't really be Maroon 5-level either. If that particular mixture isn't possible, then stuff along the lines of minami and xi-on.
If there are any vocals, they must be done in good English. Those are hard to find, but I bet he'd like some of them (particularly T. Stebbins).
The lolis are not relevant, only the songs. My plan is to eventually try and get my stepbrother to become a Sanae fanboy, just to piss off Caller, but that's not an issue for the moment. Therefore, don't recommend thirty different arrangements of Desire Drive or whatever, because he doesn't get that the songs are tied to characters and that might confuse him into thinking every song is the same. ._.

in case you don't understand the significance of that...

it's touhou dragon quest. With comics. And illustrations. And 3 vocal Arrange CDs from a lot of well-known groups (including two mai kotohge for yoshi) (no xion, phoenix, or that sort of thing though). All for 2000 yen, which is like 25 bucks.

also what is this 3L true administrator i can't tell if its good or not but it sounds promising

oh so that isn't a game? so that means a bunch of compilation stuffs. If my sister grabs that, I wonder if they'll sell well. The arrange CDs seems the most risky, since it's easier to convince a non-fan to buy the comic/illustration portion of this bundle, and unless it's someone like Caller (which doesn't exist irl of course), the arrange CDs won't be sought after.

Although that line up of comic artists/illustration artists is pretty stellar, a quick browse and I recognize quite a few (including one banpai akira, the touhou vania artist), but I guess that's to be expected for any toranoana compilation thingie though.

(Liz Tora makes me squee tho)

Best for last? Unique arrange. It's an actual piece. It is pretty dramatic, but it's not quite highly emotional. It's good but it's not quite beautiful enough for me to call it beautiful.
