The engine looks very similar to GW but updated graphics. It has that really grand look that you don't see in a lot of games. It was a really good engine as long as they improved the negative aspects like the movement etc. Some new little midget race that uses technology and some big bear/wolf type race.
I can't wait for preview weekends, I just hope enough has changed with the actual gameplay that I will really enjoy it.
seeing the little wierd guys next to the huge robots looks really weird. I wonder how the races are going to effect pvp. Small shitters are going to be a lot better then really large characters
Yeah, buying this on pre-order. Twice. Getting an ethernet cable routed to my room. Wireless will not suffice. Somehow it feels like everything is going right in my life and this is the capstone.

Seriously? You're talking about the not-new race Asura and the Charr. I would understand you not recognizing Charr if you didn't play Guild Wars and not recognizing Asurans if you didn't play the expansion.

how many of those guilds do u guys remember?
oh man, that really brought back memories. can't be that old right? because i remember like 80% of those guilds, and i only started getting into pvp like 6 or 7 months after the game came out
i don't remember, but judging by the other tab in my browser, it must've been some time around october 2005 as i matched the dates with this thread i found on tgh http://www.guild-hall.net/forum/showthread.php?t=30822 i think if you played in 2005 you'd remember most of those. although tbh i don't remember XLI, MU, mn or those 2 korean guilds, TV and hayunjib.
hahaha i still can't believe we argued for like 3 hours or whatever over whether i played guild wars looooooool funny shit i think ill go get on garena for a dota game..!

How the fuck do you forget what err7 is. Then you google up "router problem".
Man, I'm fucking excited. This thread makes me so happy.
Oh god I remember 007's. Sometime after Nightfall they added a feature that allowed you to rejoin your party if you disconnected, it was nice but I didn't get much use because at that time I was playing less and less.
I can't help but unburrow to post here. I saw the guild A Proelium Victo on that list, a guild I led back in the day. It was my first PvP experience of any game, and because of it I was introduced into the world of competitive gaming...and SC2.
Ace, Ensign says hi to a guy he remembers being "Blackace" back before iQ's prime. He says hi to Zeru too.
To others, DO NOT BUY THE ORIGINAL GUILD WARS. PvP is impossible to get into, and there is no reward. You'd be buying four campaigns just to waste time in the equivalent of D- BGH games on BNet. Save your money, there are better things to do (unless you've spent hours doing those other things and really need to waste more time). Some of us veterans are still around to do what we can to prevent Izzy & Co. from fucking balance up a second time, but it's grim as always. Guild Wars 2 will have amazing PvE, but the PvP can really go anywhere at this point. Don't get your hopes up, but do keep an eye on development.
Shout out to natures/angra/lutz, and other lurkers that may know a "damon from team quitter."
