Maybe waiting an opponent who will not fuck up everything would be a good idea before hyping him like that.
Sure he is gonna be one of the best players, but people seem to think he will just win the 5 next gsl using only one hand. Superior players make their opponents look terrible, his management and multitask were just on another level to Sage and Polt. Good players make you fuck up and Forgg is damn good.
Polt had his missile turrets too late, forgg did nothing special to delay them and polt could have made his enginering bay much quicker. Droping in the tank range isn't good play from forgg, it's just terrible from polt. And making your medivacs fly over the opponent marines isn't good play from your opponent.
Forgg had an excellent macro and positioning and he controled his banshees really well but polt fucked up his control really badly, and he is known for having a really good control. He shouldn't lose that many units to banshees.

Are you serious? ForGG just played the same build twice and Polt thinks he can win a TvT without Tanks. People are so retarded for calling players great just because they played one or two good series. ForGG is on the Level of HongUn.

I don't get what this bump was for. A good BW player who's been massing games for almost a year and been a top GM player for almost ten months managed to reach Code A ro16? That's a chocker. Thumbs up for him I guess?

ForGG yeah well people should stop calling him fin,its so much of a loss of identity. He picked Fin. Should we call NesTea Zergbong? Someone who had little to no name in BW making a new name for himself in SC2 is different from someone who already had a name and fame in BW suddenly wanting to be someone else. If someday Flash switches to SC2 and wants to be called Sparkles, well fuck that, he's still Flash. I mean, I don't agree with saying that ForGG shouldn't be called Fin, but man, it's never going to stop being weird every time someone does it. Yeah similar to when well-known bw pros try to change their names, like Kal.

People like you are delusional. He just crushed through 2 good tosses and supposedly one of the best tvt'ers and a former GSL champ. He's easily going to code S next season and is way better than HongUn.

We could start calling players by their real names instead and we won't have problem.

I hope he changes his ID back to ForGG, I seem to hate fin as an ID.

Forgg will always be forgg. Sangho -> Killer kinda worked because he was not as famous but a Starleague champ (with multiple nicknames) will always be known by the ID they won with.

It's because in korea they go by their real names more often than not so it doesn't really matter as much. They most likely regard their IDs as just for battlenet and stuff

Sorry, but ForGG advancing to Code A Ro24 doesn't prove that Brood War players will dominate instantly after switching. He'll have to dominate the next code S to back up that statement.

question do u put grubby and tod anywhere near JD and Flash ?

We know ForGG has potential, seeing his record in brood war. But he's been playing for 10 months orso already so it's not really a shocker at all. Want to see how he'd do against MVP or MMA in an official bo3 match.

In another game, yes. In SC2 hell no

Yes but almost every pro who switched played either BW or War3 when SC2 came out. Also the reason for example MVP is dominate in SC2 is because what he did in BW is actually the right way to play SC2. Just as, while ForGGs opponents played too bad for me to be impressed by them, the things that he was good at also transfer over well to sc2(also about 8 months of training will help with that as well)

All he is left to prove is his tvz and see how far he can get in code S.

He won Arena MSL after he had already switched his ID to Never, which he stuck with until he retired from brood war, so that's not really the case.
