-How do you feel about this victory
▶I'm so happy that I advanced into StarLeague by defeating [Lee] Jae-Dong and Han Dong-Wook. I prepared for every race for every set. I was confident because I was perfectly ready.
-You had a long conversation with Lee Jae-Dong prior to the game.
▶Jae-Dong and I talked about ZvT matches since BattleNet so we prepared our ZvT together. Since we were talking about ZvT not ZvZ (FYI they are both Zerg users), we talked comfortably. Jae-Dong has taught me a lot.
-You lost the last 4 games at OnGameNet
▶I didn't feel any pressure. I don't pay attention to win-loss records. I comfortably prepared for it just like I do with any other game.
-You have become a Royal Roader candidate
▶It feels good to hear the title "Royal Roader candidate". I'm confident that I will become a Royal Roader. I'm the first to become a dual leaguer and that part also pleases me. I have a good feeling about the upcoming games.
-The fans were expecting a lot from you.
▶It's not like me to be daunted because of high expectations. Rather, the title "Death Group" should have daunted the other players. Because I had confidence, even the "Death Group" did not burden me.
-Your thoughts on preparing for StarLeague.
▶Because I played a lot of televised games, in the preliminary rounds, a lot of my opponents played to fit my build. I think I was read easily because I only stuck to one style. In this StarLeague, I will change styles a lot, and show different strategies and a different look (note: I don't think he meant this literally).
-Any final words.
▶The Terran users on my team went through a lot of trouble because of me. I am especially thankful to Joo Hyun-Joon for helping me practice a lot.

hehe.. Since I just got into the whole SC scene, I honestly don't know the SC players' IDs except for the really popular guys. I'll do some extra research next time ^^;
Thanks for reading~

Dont worry about it. People shouldn't click on interviews unless they want to know about results.

Thanks for the translation, we can always use more translators eh! <3 Nice interview btw, he seems well mannered. He just needs to lose the earring, it makes him look gay imho. (well maybe he is and I cant blame him then but it doesnt increase his manliness for me) Ah well can't dispute taste tbh.
The I cba about statistics is nice and I'm curious if he dares to change his "complete" style to something different and still succeed... or if he'll adept some variations of complete play with different focusses on certain aspects of play.
I really hope he Royal Roads, I'm a major fan and can't wait to see more of him.
|
We'll see if anyone has the balls to select Savior for his OSL group. XD
+ Show Spoiler +Actually, it might be a good idea for a zerg confident in ZvZ, because there's a very high chance (presumably higher than for a zerg) for Savior to hand over losses to any terran or protoss in the group.

[interview] Savior as a title is pretty much a spoiler -_-
In this case I don't really care since I was already sure Savior would win, but in the future it'd be better to just put the date and event instead of the name of the person being interviewed.
Thanks a lot, infinity! Savior rocks.

Said it before and I'll said it again... he's like the Oov of Zerg. You know he's gonna macro, but you still can't cheese him.

I think 3 hatch builds are a lot more consistent than 2 hatch builds if you know they're coming, as they set the course for a solid mid-late game (as opposed to 2 hatch, which require damage). You can't just play safe against a ridiculous 3 hatch player, as you somewhat can against aggressive play.
Savior's MSL victories demonstrate an evolution in the game towards later-game play. Theoretically, aggressive builds require the enemy to mess up to be successful, so as progaming tends towards greater perfection and eliminated weaknesses/cracks (as well as greater knowledge of how to defend properly), macro builds naturally replace aggressive ones.

I wonder this too, actually. I remember a recent game between Nada and Chojja on Arcadia 2. Chojja did what all zergs do on that map - 3 hatch, and Nada was just so good with his timing, the game was over in about 10 minutes. Savior is no Chojja, but still, he *always* 3-hatches. I'd like to see a terran try it just to see how well Savior can deal with it.

Thanks for the interview and Savior is an Autobet for me.

When he arrived in his 1st OSL (seeded from Challenge league) he picked Oov. Last time he picked JulyZerg But I don't remember who he picked after winning his OSL

hmm but july hasn't been performing as well lately..
i mean..if anytime picked savior i still think savior would win.
i mean remember last um..OSL (?) even a zerg like jju owned the arguably best pvzer nal_ra so...
and savior rapes nal_ra as well.

He may have seen it by using a lot of scouting units he has. I mean it's not hard to see that the T is fast teching. I guess if he see that he'd probably be going hydras / lurks and manage with his delaying sunkens. What i mean by hydras is, for the case where we can't see what's the terran doing (wr8, drop, fast tanks, whatever)

I love Saviors confident, it's like Nada, he also sounds so confident in his interviews... atleast when he's on a winning streak :/.
That pic is badass! I love it!

I hate when they gave real names on interviews. All korean names are so so alike, its impossible to memorize.
Who is are Jae-Dong and Han Dong-Wook? :p
|
I wrote all their IDs on the first page, but I guess it's too time consuming to read the thread
JaeDong is n.Die_JaeDong from Lecaf Han Dong Wook Casy from Sparkyz
