Dear doing his Grasshopper dance at the Starleague Group Selection evening, in reference to fans saying he looks like a Korean celebrity famous for the dance
Okay, so i just updated the frontpage a little with graphics etc.
Oh and before i forget it: Everyone who became a witness of his greatness is welcome to join the club. Watch a VOD of his play and become a witness today.

You guys are all signed up. I'd like to add that in the past i created fanclubs where there was a very multifunctional Opening post - kinda like a website. Experience told me that i can't keep everyone updated with that much information that was on older fanclubs (like the Axslav 2.0 Fanclub for example). It takes way too much time that i don't always have.
Therefore i decided to keep it simple this time which gives the guys who signed up more responsibility to keep it updated. In short words: Everyone is welcome to post stuff regarding Dear :-)
GSTL Azubu VS Soul.. Dear in his 2nd match... oh Dear, that 4 manner Nexy and 1 Pylon.. what have u done. Such a wasted win which turned out into a huge blunder and loss because of that taunt :-D
He predicted himself winning WCS KR S3 and The S3 Finals (before he actually won the WCS KR S3) :-D let's hope he's right even though i hope all others will fail to let Naniwa still stay at No.16 for WCS Global finals
Dear's interview after the game vs HerO. He said that he still needs more practise, hope to achieve more and an opportunity of blizzcon, mean while some sort of jealous of Polt's ability to balance between school and game, to multi-task in life.
Check the link for the video XD. some screenshots:

Yeah he really is. Everyone thought, including myself, that he just prepared for every match up in the GSL perfectly. But here he's showing that he is just an amazing player regardless of who he's up against. I really want him to make it to Blizzcon and continue this dominance!

Dear looks incredibly solid at the moment. He is certainly the player everyone else will want to beat at blizzcon. He plays with such grace. Great decision making, solid builds, good micro and so on =)

Dear: thanks to foreign fans and support from parents
"After the disbandment of the team I actually become stronger, and that's how I understand 'bless in disguise'. Only after I realise the crisis can I take the chance and win these championships. I want to share this honer with all the fans who supports me."
28th October(Korean time), the grand final of WCS Season 3 final took place in Toronto Congress Center in Canada, Baek Dong Jun "Dear" win the final 4-0 and completely destroyed his opponent. He said that at the time all his hard work and practise seems like a kaleidoscope flew over.
He believe the reason he could went so far in recent tournaments is because the support of the fans. "Korean fans supports us quietly, while the foreign fans are very enthusiastic and cheerful. Their chants make me excited and finally became my motivation of victory. The support of these fans brings me the ultimate gift - the championship."
Dear was still not able to believe he actually won the final, and wanted to appreciate many people who offered great help through this interview. "After the end of the sponsorship of STX, many of the team members of Soul didn't find a new team. The head coach Choi Won Seok and Kim Min Ki made us able to stay in the professional league. They even run the team on their own expense. I am really grateful to them."
And finally Dear whats to thank his parents, say sorry to them because of making them worry about their son. For the last two times when the team Dear in was disbanded(estro and hwaseung. -by lystier), his parents weren't too worried, but this time they asked him if it's better just to quit the game.
"I really appreciate my parents who trusted me, and worried about me and my team. Without their trust and support I can't achieve what I have today. I'm going to work harder, to honor my parents. Parents, I love you!"
Sign me up. Anyone that knows me knows I never jumped off MC bandwagon to these upstart Protoss until now. He has MC's aggression with better decision making and i think will not be a flash in the pan like so many b4 him. I don't like macro toss like rain/hero so forgive me even though they are great players but Dear can do it all and so unpredictable which makes him most dangerous of all.
Usually I don't really care about Protoss players at all, but this guy is something special and I believe we will see even greater things from him than we already have. Can't wait till he crushes Blizzcon
Soul's players absent the Literacy Education of Kespa Original Source
The former STX Soul players who is now in team SouL were absent from the Literacy Education of KeSPA.
All the former members of STX still maintains their "professional qualification" (by kespa, esf players or players of foreign teams don't need that). Since they didn't attend the literacy education of this year, they will not be able to maintain this qualification, which means not able to play Starcraft Proleague. This wasn't actually affects them because they won't attend proleague anyway...
What worth notice is the last sentence of that news. It says that "team soul members are aiming to join some foreign teams or looking for personal sponsorships."
--hmm, so which means soul doesn't seems to be able to find a team sponsor soon? and possibly dear or trap or anyone played well enough to be pick up by other teams will leave soon?

What matters is the last sentence, that the team member of soul is looking for a personal sponsorship or join a foreign team, possibly means that soul is not intend to maintain too long for current roster or whatever..

He didn't want to really play. He even forfeited his game in the lower bracket. The reason might be simple: in a couple days he has a shot at 100.000 $ and a lot of prestige. why in the world should he unveil strategies in a televised qualifier where the first place at the very end gets 10.000 $. He gets 5k for just attending blizzcon and nearly gets the same for just making it into the next round.
It really does not make sense for him to participate in that tournament at all.
Dear makes playing Protoss seem easy. I play Zerg (Gold) and occasionally I play Protoss and finds myself losing all the time, it's quite hard to control Protoss with blink Stalker micro and forcefield etc.., so I appreciate Dear's play a lot more.

I'm pretty sure he would have taken it more serious IF there wouldn't have been WCS Global Finals in a couple days. I mean Starcraft is a game of strategy and he plays protoss where you rely on surprising your opponents often. Wouldn't have been very smart to play that qualifier :-7

No worries, I think there's still a chance for him to go to Singapore, considering IEM NY gives out wildcards, and according to liquipedia IEM singapore invites players with top 4 WCS rankings.
I know this is so sad to see him like this... But eventually you're gonna stop that momentum, lose to someone, find where you got beaten and grow stronger. So never mind and cheer up! 슬퍼하지마시고 꼭 좋아지길 믿습니다.. 팬들은 영원히 당신을 응원합니다!
Dear took 2 wins agains Patience and lead soul to take another victory~! and since he has won second to most matches in GSTL regular season(just surpassed Trap lol) he was awarded that prize about 1000 bucks i think...

Owner hasn't been on TL for about a month, but hasn't given a formal reason anywhere afaik. So I would wait a few weeks and then ask to take over the thread here.
http://www.mousesports.com/en/news/11009/ Ever since his triumph at GSL and WCS as well as his hookup with mousesports, one of the premier StarCraft II teams worldwide, Baek „mouz Dear“ DongJun has been the center of attention for many fans. Looking forward to compete at as many Western tournaments as possible, Dear has been anything but sad about his new team, planning to perform well in his first tournament of 2014 in the red colors of mouz.
The 19-year-old Korean Protoss player will attend the Asus ROG event in Finland and has been preparing well for the tournament. Obviously the young player is aiming for a good result to not only please his fans and his new team but also himself. Among not many critics, he might be his hardest one, as he always questions his ingame decisions to look for that tiny bit of improvement that could grant him victory in his next matchup. „My goal is win“, said Dear when asked about his expectations in Finland. „Recently I have been practising a lot, I want to get great result.“
After the Asus ROG tournament, Dear will head South to enjoy a two week long stay in Germany, home country of his new team mousesports. Dear will live and practice in Cologne, where the clubs mousesports and SK Gaming maintain an office and practice area, that has been home for former SK player MC a couple of times already. During his stay in Germany he will not only meet the man behind mousesports, CEO Cengiz Tüylü, but also his new teammates Dennis „mouz HasuObs“ Schneider and Gabriel „mouz HeroMarine“ Segat. HasuObs will head to Cologne especially to bootcamp with Dear to sharpen both players awareness and gaming skills. The Cologne-based HeroMarine will join them to build upon a good team chemistry.
His English skills won’t be a problem, although he’s not feeling comfortable just yet, Dear thinks: „Even if I can’t speak English well, it will be funny time with [my new teammates].“ However, the Korean player is a bit afraid of a certain lack of practice time while staying in Germany, and although Dear has been away from home several times in his career already, this journey will mark his first longer stay in oversea. Before his departure he admitted that he somehow feels scared and he might not be in his most comfortable state throughout the next weeks, due to many new impressions. But having a well experienced player like HasuObs on his side, will certainly help him a lot.
Dear’s trip to Germany will culminate in the attendance of Intel Extreme Masters event in Cologne from February 13th to 16th, 2014. He will be mousesports‘ second player to compete in the tournament, as reigning EPS Champion HeroMarine has already qualified for the main groupstage. The recent announcement of the „winner takes it all“ prize money policy for the IEM World Championship, is not a bad idea, according to Dear: „It is really a unique method for splitting prize money. It will make a difference and will be very interesting to watch.“ But just watching games never was an option for the ambitious Protoss player.
Due to his great success in late 2013, Dear is one of the highest rated players when it comes to 2014 performance expectations, which will add an extra bit of pressure. „Last year I had a lot of confidence and I had nothing to lose. I played as best as I could, like I’m a real pro gamer. But now it is a bit different. A lot of players are on the same level now, even foreigners are also really good these days. That’s why I have some pressure but I won last year, this experience can help me with winning this year. I will win.“
Besides his journey, filled with lots of new impressions and hopefully success, Dear is very thankful to all his fans. „If I have no fans cheering for me, I don’t exist as a pro gamer.“ Having the audience chanting for him almost puts him in a kind of Hulk-a-mania state: „When fans cheer me loud, I want to win like crazy. I want to show them something I can enjoy together with them.“ One of his greatest memories up to date is the WCS Season 3 Final in Toronto last year: „I will never forget the people who cheered for me. I will always thank my fans.“
His fans can also expect Dear streaming in the next weeks. After his initial streaming session two weeks ago, he is looking to stream more often for his fans between tournaments.

What happened with his skills? After his loss in WCS world season final he got so bad I can't hardly believe he is the same player.
I'm not just talking about skills, I've seen him engaging superior colossi-based army in PvP in narrow choke with 3 tempests(which can't one-shot colossi) when 2 tempests were on the way and he didn't even ff collossi.
I am not trying to sound jerk. I just can't believe his skills including strategy and disicion making have deteriorated over such a short time that I suspect wrist injury or lost motivation. It's too huge to be a slump.

He's health condition is good. I think he still needs to adopt to practise alone without teammates in the same team house or so. I suppose joining proleague with a team would be a good solution.

The guy who performed so brilliantly after all what had happend to his team in 2013 deserves all the support he can get. His DT-Build in PvP is still my favorite build to use in that MU. I'm really proud he is playing for a german team now. Please, sign me up!
Ro16 groups are drawn. Dear was placed in group B along with Maru, Soulkey and Zest. This is by far the hardest group but he did beat Maru and Soulkey confidently before. Zest is a problem tho as he is on fire lately and it PvP T.T
I've been too nervous to post anything, but even he just lost to Maru I have to say that he's been playing a GREAT series, perhaps the best so far this year. And I'm so proud of being a fan of Dear. Good luck in the final match!

I believe it's not hard for him to make it through the open bracket stage, since I think at lower half the only threat would be Hyun. But as a fan...I'm still a bit nervous oxo...Anyway good luck! (And can't even find the TLPD info of OKai...)
Congratulations for getting through the open bracket, but now it's a real business. Facing against HerO(as I remember from the interview pre-blizzcon, his favourite player), considering his PvP...
Well played!! I actually think Dear's mostly out-micro Hero instead of actually controlled the series lol Polt is a hard one though. Good luck tomorrow!! Now finally I can go to sleep, it's 1:29 am here lol
Wow I'm really shocked to see him suddenly teamless. Even with a bad spell here I think he will still be picked up fairly quickly by another team. Really sucks that it's too late to make it for this round of proleague but I think it would probably be best for him to go back to a Kespa team. Good luck Dear
Holy Shit, the bad news keeps on piling up here! Must be a horrible period for Dear. Hope he finds another team soon, and puts this all behind him. Watching him play last year was awe inspiring, would love to see him at top form again. Dear fighting!
He was in HSC IX KR qualifier, he got 2-0'd in quarterfinals by Armani who ended up qualifying. On his run he took out PenguiN 2-1 and a barcode 2-1. Still not doing amazing but he made Quarters at least...
I hope it could be Acer, since Dear and Innovation were teammates before, it could help. But according to the interview it seems he prefer Kespa teams...and being in kespa=being in proleague Either of them sound great!!

Well if this case you'd think Dear would or Acer would have mentioned it on twitter or something yet. But that hasn't happened yet. So if this is happening it's going to be announced further down the line or it's simply just not the case.
Q. You dug through the qualifiers how do you feel about advancing to code A? Naturally I thought I had to get through the qualifiers. Because I've previously been knocked all the way down I prepared extra hard.
Q. You feel from winning the championship to the qualifiers in a single moment. What were you thinking then? While all different types of problems were stacking up it seems like i fell to the qualifiers. Now I've caught back my competitive spirit and preparing diligently again.
Q.If you want to advance to the global final then isn't this season very important? It's similar to last year. Even last year's season 3 I dug my way through the qualifiers and won the championship while qualifying for the global final. If it turns out like last year I can qualify.
Q.Recently Protoss having been doing really well. What do you think? It's not just protoss, rather everyone has been playing better. I think the player that trains harder will win.
Q. How confident are you going into Code A? In the individual leagues I prefer the dual tournament format. If I just prepare well I think I can beat anyone.
Q. Any last words? After falling out of Code A i've been absorbed in practice. Even in the studio there are pans cheering for me so my spirits are up. Thank you very much, going forward I have thoughts of individually broadcasting (could be streaming?). It'd be good if people watched.
Edit: didnt realize Seeker did the interview for qualifying into Code A.
Dear is in the finals of the RedBull BattleGrounds Global Qualifier against Solar. The Bo3 series is now tied 1-1. Come look at the last game! http://www.twitch.tv/RedBullEsports
Looks like he finally managed to overcome the wall that is Solar. If I recall correctly, Solar knocked him out of a few qualifiers recently. He historically has a good record vs Ragnarok, so I wasn't that concerned when he reached the finals.
Dear's short run through the MSI Beat it qualifiers was ended by Journey, who also knocked him out of Code A in GSL 2014 season 1.
Disappointing performance after Summer Series and his GSL groups, and it seems he has a weakness against Terrans. Really hope he bounces back from this slump quickly in time for next Proleague season.
A bit of a delayed announcement, but Dear advanced to the ro4 of Conn.si's CPE#1 (Connecting Professional Esports #1)!
Along the way he has taken out Cure, Ragnarok and Stork 2-0, and only lost to MC 2-1.
In about 6.5 hrs from this post, his opponent in the semis will be decided in Group B! From the looks of it, it will probably be either Solar or Rogue, unless Fantasy or Myungsik break out. Either way, it'll most likely be a juicy Zerg >:D
the most recent public result was Dear losing 2:1 to dream in hot6 qualifiershttp://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2014_Hot6ix_Cup/Online_Qualifier but before that he got 2nd place to solar in cpes and before that a 1st place over solar in summer series #1 so his form looks good but it's hard to say because there are so few games of dear and dream right now.
Dear just qualified for star league beating cure and jjakji 2-0. I don't know if it was streamed or if there are vods but its a good result nevertheless and I am excited to see how he does
he didn't go to gsl qualifier. don't know why but it's dissapointing edit: he might still be going, I didn't realize there was an afternoon session as well edit: he's there

Dear plays vs Hack in SPL soon! On one hand Dear is coming off the back of a win vs Maru, but on the other hand Hack is a completely different player stylistically and a really strong TvP player. Should be a good match!

Btw: I will update the graphics and info of the OP hopefully in about a weeks time when I finally get some time to have my own life. -_-'
Edit: Aaand he wins with a pretty well prepared build to counter Hack's greed.
Unsurprisingly, Dear stomps Bboongbboong with a deceptive quick 3rd into 8 gate push. Now if only those lings hadn't killed the pylon, I might have had a quick and easy build to steal
Dear plays Bbyong in proleague tonight! These two have had some great games in the Kung Fu Cup, hopefully this will be another.
Edit: It was a tough, drawn out game but unfortunately Bbyong won out in the end. Dear had a few good moments in there though, and his signature flair is always interesting to watch. Hopefully we get to see him improve a tonne this season!
Dear is playing in his SSL group tonight with Rain, Dream and Myungsik. The odds seem to be against him, but I'll be damned if I don't hold out hope!
Update: Unfortunately he doesn't make it, losing 2:0 to both Rain and Myungsik. There were some fun games in there, but overall not the greatest performance. Hope he can rebound from this loss and do well in GSL and SPL.
Wow! Dear making to the Ro8 of GSL. Good for him that he returned deeply in the quarterfinals. Although my friend told me that he won partially with luck since both soO and Rogue had messed up the final game or possibly soO's and/or Rogue's game 2 as well.

Basically never but taking the last few years into account it's probably not his best match-up.
