This isn't the 10 hours a day Korean based practice machine Idra, it's the one who plays for 3 hours a day against Machine, Inka and noobs on the NA ladder, the one has lost to every Korean he's played for the last few months (Zenio, Boxer, Nada etc.), the one who barely scraped through a terrible group at DreamHack and recently lost a tournament final 4-1 to DDE. Idra will be a favourite against Cella, an underdog against MVP and the rest are even enough for it to not be considered an upset either way. While all of that is true, you are ignoring MLG Columbus, where Idra got first out of the hardest pool in the tournament. And while Nerchio's performance has been good and promising, he also failed to qualify for IPL2. I'm not sure how Nerchio versus Idra will play out. For crying aloud, farking Destiny qualified for IPL2, and as much as i like Destiny, he is no powerhouse. I've never even heard of Nerchio, tbh, and I follow almost all the major tournaments. Firstly, Nerchio did qualify for IPL 2, in fact he beat Thorzain to do so. Secondly, he has the highest ELO of any non-Korean in the TLPD and has basically dominated the European online tournament scene for the last month or 2. Just last week he beat Thorzain, WhiteRa and Morrow to win TotalBiscuit's $1500 invitational. Anyway, my point is: Idra isn't the player he was a few months ago and can no longer be expected to roll over the top foreigners and the mid-tier Koreans. He might beat Nerchio, Virus and Junwi, he might not but it wouldn't be a big upset either way.
I'm not saying Nerchio Isn't a good player but winning online tournaments with $1500 prize pools and being ranked highly on TLPD aren't good ways to measure someones ability. The ELO heavily favours people who win small online tournaments rather than huge live events.
Either way I personally hope both Nerchio and Idra advance. I really want to see some foreign zergs performing well :D

Hope IdrA advances but MVP and Nerchio are scary, i've just seen Nerchio stomping Huk on Huk's stream, he's in good form to beat so easly the slayer of July and Moon ^^

When does he plays? Please include timezone Thanks!

EU ladder is not much better practice for pros of idra's caliber the NA. Not a couple days ago SeleCT was playing on the EU server and he made those GM guys look like gold level players it was so onesided.
Idra should be able to make it out of that group, MVP is the only person i can see taking a game off of him from that group. While Nerchio gets a lot of hype he is unproven in big turnys and idra has real good ZvZ.

This is such a tiny hole to dig yourself into. The statement you made is not that hard to verify. The basic test of ELO is how good is it at predicting future outcomes. Since we don't normally see 200+ TLPD point swings, it's probably pretty good. I think it's possible that Idra's ZvZ ELO is too low given that he's fallen from his peak. It's possible this is due to the way the infestor buff changed the ZvZ dynamics and that he hates infestors in the MU (me too).
Also, using this to say something about IPL is weird, IPL is an online tournament, $1500 is enough money to put a progamers' nerves on, certainly at least as much as the group stages for another tournament.

ELO is not very accurate for results in SC2, Europeans playing their multiple small tourneys racking up wins skews it quite a bit.
As for idra, his 3 ZvZ losses were Zenio and Sen and Zenio
Zenio, FYI, has never lost a ZvZ series except to NesTea. It's his best matchup and I think he has the second best record in the world at ZvZ, he is basically the ZvZ IncA.
Sen has the best ZvZ in europe as well.

Sen is a SEA player- he may have excellent ZvZ, but I don't know why you would place him in Europe

You guys are always so excited about discussing who is better.

What's Grack doing? He's supposed to be in Europe (so I heard), but isn't playing the game at all. Not streaming, not tweeting, nothing. I am no fan of a ghost.

streaming to him is not really practice. Also idra doesn't really tweet unless he is announcing something.

IMO MVP, Virus, and even Junwi are prettttty scary for that group.
MVP is the best terran in the world.
Virus has his hot streaks.
Junwi practices with Nestea and Losira, so I wouldn't disregard him as a good zvz player.
If Idra somehow manages to make it out, then that would be amazing, but it will definitely be a hard road.
