Virus and Junwi have low vs Z win rates (but few games, might not be accurate). Cella is a coach, probably will cheese.
Lol take out MVP this group is a lol fest lol, Idra will not lose a Z v Z versus Cella the dude is brainy but not a pro level player. Nerchio will not beat idra in a Z v Z lol. Junwi also not good enough to take down Idra. However be interesting to see ST Virus in action he is good, but then again koreans on US server, trololol lag fest i still fancy idra. Even versus MVP (if he even plays this time) due to lag issues/latency issues whatever, i fancy Idra to show who's boss this time. Online tournaments ftw when koreans are invited to them.

Nerchio is gonna eat IdrA alive.

Lol. Zhiroo with the troll in the IdrA Fanclub. He should read his signature and take his own advice.

I was thinking the same dude rofl. Such a Troll comment, nerchio be lucky to have the same supply as idra let alone get a win ^-^

Good to see the long awaited series of MVP and Idra might finally happen. It was very depressing when their series got scrapped in that Chinese tournament. Lets hope there's no late withdrawal and the match goes ahead

Are they really allowed just to change the groups like that? I see many teamkills in this tournament. 3 ZeNex guys in one group, 2 x 2 EG in two groups.

Nerchio has the best ZvZ in Europe (actually he's probably just the best Z in Europe) and has a good chance at taking down Idra. This isn't the 10 hours a day Korean based practice machine Idra, it's the one who plays for 3 hours a day against Machine, Inka and noobs on the NA ladder, the one has lost to every Korean he's played for the last few months (Zenio, Boxer, Nada etc.), the one who barely scraped through a terrible group at DreamHack and recently lost a tournament final 4-1 to DDE. Idra will be a favourite against Cella, an underdog against MVP and the rest are even enough for it to not be considered an upset either way.

yea I definitely agree w/ this. Unless he gets a group with all NA scrubs nothing is cakewalk anymore. He hasn't been dominating lately. I hope he does dominate though :D

While all of that is true, you are ignoring MLG Columbus, where Idra got first out of the hardest pool in the tournament.
And while Nerchio's performance has been good and promising, he also failed to qualify for IPL2.
I'm not sure how Nerchio versus Idra will play out.

Whilst IdrA hasn't been performing well against the koreans, can you name a single zerg-foreigner that "matches" his skill? I haven't seen IdrA lose to a single foreign zerg since he came home, except for SEn. Meanwhile, I'd dare to say that Nerchio hasn't really shown his ZvZ "brilliance", as the most talented zerg he seems to have faced in recent days is MorroW, who is fairly bad at ZvZ.
@ The Dreamhack/Complexity-games against DDE, he was extremely jetlagged at dreamhack, and he recently won against DDE in the EGMC-tournament.

For crying aloud, farking Destiny qualified for IPL2, and as much as i like Destiny, he is no powerhouse. I've never even heard of Nerchio, tbh, and I follow almost all the major tournaments.

Firstly, Nerchio did qualify for IPL 2, in fact he beat Thorzain to do so. Secondly, he has the highest ELO of any non-Korean in the TLPD and has basically dominated the European online tournament scene for the last month or 2. Just last week he beat Thorzain, WhiteRa and Morrow to win TotalBiscuit's $1500 invitational.
Anyway, my point is: Idra isn't the player he was a few months ago and can no longer be expected to roll over the top foreigners and the mid-tier Koreans. He might beat Nerchio, Virus and Junwi, he might not but it wouldn't be a big upset either way.

The sc2 community seems to have a tendency to overhype up and coming players, with some minor achievements, to godlike status.

nerchio is definitly a zvz beast, this is going to be hard work for idra.

Well, players don't actually need major achievements for them to be considered amazing, it can become obvious just watching their play (DRG, Alicia).
I'm unsure about Nerchio... he seems to be isolated to the online EU scene, he's completely unproven against most other top tier players (Koreans, Idra). We only know his ZvZ is better than Morrow's, who isn't confident in his ZvZ at all (opting to play TvZ)

Wasn't it just weeks ago that he beat MC 2-0 in columbus, then continued to tear through his pool to take 1st place? Its kind of odd how people discredit the idra vs mc win because mc was jetlagged, while they can't seem to do the same for idras first day of matches at dreamhack.

I love the way you categorised the top tier players: EU, Koreans, Idra. :D
Anyway, yes, Nerchio is not proven at LAN events but IPL will be played online so he shouldn't be taken lightly. The "sudden" rise of players such as Thorzain and Major should be a reminder that just because most people haven't heard of a certain player doesn't mean that said player is not skilled enough.

IdrA has said that NA ladder isn't practice, it is just to see any new trends and stream money. Also, just because he said he is practicing 3 hours a day a few months ago, SC2 is still his job, so when an upcoming tournament comes, I'm sure he practices a little more than 3 hours a day with his teammate. And the rest of the time is spent thinking about the game anyway.
regardless though, nerchio does seem pretty good from the games I've seen, so it should be some good games

I dunno, Nerchio is a pretty scary opponent, no matter how good you are.

Also just because he doesnt stream EU ladder, doesnt mean he is not playing EU ladder, which he has said he does play, who to say he hasnt got a GM smurf account on EU Ladder.
The fact we are even discussing Idra and Nerchio being on similar skill level is seriously beyond me -_-
Idra could practice 1 game a day and still beat Nerchio in a Z v Z any day of the week! Nerchio is known for his cheese, not for his amazing play style, for his cheesy builds and all ins. I can see him now opening 10pool then game 2 trying to 6 pool.
