Btw this is also quite noticeable in drools casting, where he trys to surpress his accent. Although he is somewhat overdoing it imo. To my experience native speakers dont mind to hear some accent. They find it to be rather interesting.

Myself, and many other Germans, who fluently understand [not neccesarly speak] more than 1 language, like to consume media as they are intended. There is no way something like a movie, a book or a game can be translated without losses in quality. Also, voice acting is a huge part of acting itself, when I watch Jeff Bridges in a movie, i want to hear him acting, not some German who tries to sound like him in another language. Thats why i like to watch/play/read everything i can in its original language. But even if i cant do that (Japanese games), i mostly choose English over German Audio, just because the American voice overs tend to be a lot more professional, especially in games. It is not because I dont like German as a language, or because I'm getting bored of it.

Well I didn´t hear to much of the german version because I only downloaded the english version but german translations of english games often just don´t sound that good. Its not that the voice actors are bad or anything but most of the names and unit responses came from another language and just sound stupid if you translate them.
