To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

(bold=my edit and changed words)
This basically sums up what kiett liked to call the fact that kpop IS bias and fans and antifans arguing for half the time, full stop. (heavily paraphrased) When you have instigators and defenders like so, there is a chicken-or-the-egg effect whence a lot of the arguing stems, with victim complexes and all that good stuff. This just stands out in my memory because one day, early on, when she would still be in irc, I mentioned wanting to be a fan of one star without being against others and she chewed me out lol.
IU police officer is cool! I didn't notice the spoilers tags at first lol. They should do a rendition of les miz where she's Javert or something =P and thanks for the ailee share, I would always see posts about her yet be sort of ambivalent--but I really liked her cover of girl on fire (also probably because I like the song in the first place)
@sephyr, not at all; I just meant it in general, and I don't think I even recognize your name unfortunately ;; your post is extremely reasonable imho o/
Hopefully you weren't referring to me when you were talking about bias defenders etc. Was simply stating I haven't seen nor heard anything bad about her from Koreans as far as the claims from that imgur link went.
I was referring to whomever felt the need to whiteknight her through a gallery of pictures as well as the subsequent comments on said gallery.
and I was specifically referring to weight, not any bias. nothing gets people more up in arms than weight, or lack thereof. call someone fat and you have some very vocal people accusing you of propagating anorexia, whereas call someone too thin and you have vegement accusations of being a chubby chaser. all very ironic as these most likely stem from people's own weight insecurities.
that said, most people would agree: some idols simply are too thin though like sooyoung or boram; others simply had too much weight like dh-era suzy or mazzic hyosung. and yet there are people that like them in that state, so each to his own I guess.
Yeah, that's true, I was just arbitrarily generalizing your statement
You've been around much longer than I, so the idea of weight being particularly a inflammatory and unending topic as far as arguments go is probably right on ^^

It's cool haha, I rarely if ever post on KMD, let alone TL; much rather just read all the arguments (best thing about KMD imo) and posts from other people.

@ASie: Apparently so. Looks perfectly fine to me. I saw this pic which is probably what the Koreans are talking about regarding her being "chubby" or whatever it was.
Today I attended Music core live show. I stood in front row, it was something to remember.
I have been a rainbow fan for sometime and have always been Ji Sook biased. I was about to pass out from their white jeans outfits. However today when I saw them at their comeback stage, their looks were so different from what I expected. All the girls were quite short. From MVs and fancams I thought Jaekyung was about 180cm, but actually she is about 160-165. The other girls are even shorter. Jisook was very very thin. Jaekyung was one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. Also Bora deserves a special mention as she was just smoking hot (as expected).

talking about the following, but these were taken at the end of dh for just a bit. she returned to normal pretty quickly after that. + Show Spoiler +
I think the "That's too much weight? Geez..." comment would apply to those as well. Though I guess you could say "Too much weight for a pop star or something."
I actually thought the chords sounded nice, but yeah I think the choreo is not quite bouncy enough but doesn't fit the slowness of the song...if that makes sense. That weird laugh at the beginning though :|
ya, the beginning of that purplay video is straight up creepy =0X it's her facial expression while she is talkin, then the creepy giggle- jus made me expect it to be some kind of twisted tragedy video
I really like that MV actually. It's very well filmed and nicely cut I think. Got a nice flow to the choreo and they all look great. I'm somewhat amazed they decided to keep that head movement thing which they clearly stole from some dance crew... But for me it doesn't really take anything away from it. It's like 10 seconds out of 4 minutes. No big deal.
I think I'll wait for a better version of the documentary but it just seems like a documentary about a random idol group and how they came to be and what goes into it. Nothing really special unless you're curious about the process or behind the scenes stuff with 9M.
Is my internet fucking with me or is it these videos? It takes me 20 minutes to load a 4 minute video.
