No you're missing the point. This is false. If any of that were true then many female korean MCs would not go solo. Wait I'ma let you 2 finish but HyunA is one of the most talented girls in all of kpop. Ya maybe she cant sing but neither can 90% + Show Spoiler +yes that statistic was made up on the spot of the other girls in the industry. When its comes to performing though she is easily top 5 on everyone's list. So you gotta be a bit more specific dystopia if you are talking about singing then im in agreement but thats not what makes an idol. If you throw HyunA on stage with your choice of idols her stage presence is guaranteed to capture the most eyes.

I would like to respectfully disagree that she is a top 5 performer. Her dancing is great, sure, but her vocals live aren't. In fact I think she is the worst live in all of 4Minute.
*edit* Also, I wouldn't say she is one of the most talented girls in kpop. Her success and skill in dancing seems to come from her work ethic, not natural talent (which I admire actually).

The taintedness is what's going to capture the most eyes.

What? She can't sing but she's one of the most talented in the industry? -___-

Your inner sone is emerging. you have to understand, my favorite music has always consisted of 1) the most badass, hard-hitting shit I can find, or 2) classical music with an emphasis on complexity and musical skill. for me to fall in love with K-Pop feels like a betrayal, it's like a Montague running off with a Capulet. Does it? The more about music I learn, classical or otherwise, the more I realize that "complexity and skill" is nonsense. Music is just whatever you like to listen to. well, i agree and disagree. in my opinion, the ode to joy melody is the greatest musical achievement ever, and that is a very simple melody. the gross fugue is incredibly complex and while i like it, it sounds like shit in a lot of ways. ive never been a huge jazz fan and as it goes that is the most "complex" music going right now and has been for a while. complexity and musical skill does not always translate into enjoyable, but there is objectively more complex music and music that takes more skill to produce and create.
k-pop is very enjoyable, and a lot of it is surprisingly creative, but it clearly is not as complex, nor does it display as much musical skill, as other types of music. skill is not subjective, nor is complexity. enjoyability is entirely subjective though.

Hyuna is clearly best rapper.
+ Show Spoiler +
It also helps that the raps in 4minute songs are generally less random and fit in the songs better imo.

I like her as a performer, I just don't think she's talented.
