Everything in kpop sounds like something from the 90s.
It reminds me of the freestyle days of TKA and Stevie B. I think it is one of the reasons why I like kpop. It's like listening to music through a time machine but with some modern day flare. Now that I am older, I feel like I can enjoy the evolution of music through kpop.
Sistar was little disappointing, it seems a little weak. I think the chorus could have been stronger. Dancing was all leg movement, not sure if good or bad thing. :S

Maybe you guys are just being really opinionated lately.
If by opinionated you mean people don't like things you happen to like, then yes.
I don't know what you mean by opinionated because people always state if they don't like things. I guess people here, myself included, just don't like what's coming out lately.

Hmm.. I'm not one to bash someone for not liking something I find good. You'd be hard pressed to find a post from me saying "You're wrong they're good" or something along those lines. To each his own.
What I meant was that lately it seems everyone, not just regular posters like yourself, are jumping on the "THIS SONG SUCKS" wagon. I don't mind it I just feel like I'm missing something. This can't keep up for another 3 months can it?

It won't keep up for another 3 months because of GsD comeback duh. Unless it ends up blowing hardcore...but even then some people will like it, just like any other thing...someone will like it, someone will hate it. I thought we had a decent string of decent songs from BB -> 2AM -> Shinee -> EXO, but maybe that's just me :D We had our male group comebacks, now this string of female ones has been sucking a bit though.
Perhaps because many recent songs are bad, or at least very mediocre. People sharing similar opinions isn't automatically a case of bandwagoning.
Many of the most popular female groups aren't promoting (or are in Japan where people's interest drops off tremendously) and male groups are generally unpopular with the thread readers. Of the female groups who have come back, they've not had songs that were particularly catchy or remarkable. People naturally have higher expectations for comebacks, which only serves to make an average song seem bad due to not meeting the hype/expectations. You often have to look for gems in the album that aren't being promoted.
This new Sistar song is way better than So Cool and Push Push imo. Still too early to tell, but this has the potential to be my favorite promotion cycle from Sistar with the exception of maybe Ma Boy.

MaBoy is Sistar's best song with approximately 10000000% margin
Nothing wrong with So Cool. Catchy Kpop at it's best and the vid was good if you ignore the random old white guy. Not a massive Sistar fan, but it's hard to hate on that track. "It's Paaree time!"
I gave Alone another listen, for science, and it just seems a bit boring. That monotonous piano plod in the background is not helping.
Personally I'm pretty disappointed with Alone, the track is kinda dull and although the MV is sexy it isn't that different from So Cool. I haven't listened to the rest of the album yet but definately prefer Volume up to Alone.
Sistar's 'Alone' reminds me of MissA's 'Touch' in terms of the song and the MV! You won't really see or hear any similarities if you compare them directly, but their themes are both classy-retro style. And just as catchy too!
Hi, I have found a really catchy kpop song on Rainbow's stream but no way to find out what's it called. Would be very cool and helpful if somebody who knows would post the answer:
It's from 00:38:00 to 00:41:30. Thanks very much in advance.
