To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

It's really not. You just spazz at your favorite group and that's about it. That's what this thread basically is. The complicated part is learning all these groups fan-names.
Not really complicated at all since you learn them 1 by 1, and memorizing things in such small quantities isn't that hard. Learning names of individual members may be hard at first, especially with groups that have alot of similar looking members.
Especially when you find out how stupid sounding they are most of the time. What do they even mean? Are their Korean names as senseless as their English names?
There are no Korean names for fanclubs as far as I know. It's the same.
On the subject of fanclubs, I wish Kamilias would get their shit together and have more translation and overall content on their site. Karaholic is only good to download performances.
Like what is this ? (Nicole appears at the beginning and at the end (1:15))
I have no clue and I'll never know

Did my detective work (aka opened Tumblr) and apparently that vid is Nicole lending her support and recommending ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ and 'He’s Beautiful’ Korean dramas for the Ikemen Festival in Japan.

Yeah i can't for the live of me remember korean names (watch many korean movies and can't remember actors/directors too) and hearing specific members in songs is nigh impossible but for the main vocalists basically all the time. I'll apply most of my fandom to J-Idols for the time being keke.
Korean is so different from Japanese, it's really unfair!

There are some pretty bad fan names out there. The only one actually liked was diadem for t-ara and they changed that to citrine which sounds awful, reminds me of citrus.
Speaking of fan names, girls day fans are called dai5y's I think? Anyone know why and if so is there supposed to be a five or are the commenters I am getting this from trying to act cool?

Its like when se7en does it, but at least when he does it, its not as weird since you're still saying seven if you just read the number, but reading dai5y makes me read it as dai...five..y? five? And why the random 5? Is it just because they have 5 members? wtf, makes no sense.

No matter how much they try to embellish it, The Boys is still an awful song. They aren't even trying to make it better, just seems to make it a bit worse with each iteration. I miss SNSD of old >:

edit- to explain Sone is pronounced "so won" or "so one", the korean meaning being "wish" or one of the song titles, but then they said the double meaning being that SNSD and their fans were together as one, since saying as one and "so one" is apparently similar or something
Oh whoops. I always read it as "sony". I knew it had some meaning of togetherness, but pronouncing it as sony made it confusing as to why the meaning was wish/being unified. Makes much more sense now.
Whatever, I agree with what Craton said on this subject. Unless you are a crazy hardcore, names for the fanbase aren't significant.
