Just an optical illusion. The top of her body is bent and neck tilted while she is wearing heels. Her legs really only go from the 2 to 11. And body from 11-20. its 50-50.
No amount of bent legs and tilted neck can account for the ridiculousness of that picture. While that's probably part of it, just by looking at the legs you can tell that they elongated them.

Ji Eun is the lead vocal cause she sings the best, Hyosung is/was the leader, and during I want you back promotions was supposed to be the "cute" one or the one who does aegyo. That got dropped after they went straight sexy for Magic so now she's just...the leader? Sunwha is just attractive and her skin is hella pale, which appeals to Koreans apparently. edit- also, this is the only forum I've seen that gives a shit about Ji Eun, so she can't be considered the "visual" since those are the ones that usually get the most attention (Hyuna, Sulli, Suzy, etc.)
As for Taeyeon looking attractive in that pic, no. I will admit she's cute most of the time but the makeup in that pic looks weird and the legs make that look more freakish than anything else.
Ji eun has lead vocal, so she can potentially ''always'' go for a solo, OST etc(which she did succesfully)
Sunwha has that milkier then milk white skin going which is praised among koreans(as far as I know) and that is among the target audience of IY(or so I imagine).
Also Taeyeon is a kid, she does that image well any image other then that usually looks weird/off.

Because she can't do anything else. Everyone else can either sing or dance, so they list her as a pretty face because that's all there is.

I think I have to put Jieun on top of Hyosung after watching that music video. Also I have realized that Sunhwa only looks good in the music videos and during performances, Like someone said before, too many awkward angles, whoever directed the music videos knows how to avoid them though. Also this song over shy boy.
