I am downloading all of the ghost in the shell movies/series and I am trying to figure out what order I am supposed to watch them in. Any help would be much appreciated! 1st thing to watch: Ghost in the Shell (Movie) 2nd: either Ghost in the Shell: Innocence or the Stand Alone Complex Gigs The Stand Alone Complex series have a completely different story from the original movie even though the characters are the same for the most part. The series also has two seasons: 1st Gig and 2nd Gig. 1st Gig is a lot better than the 2nd Gig in my opinion but it still has some really trippy/thought-provoking episodes. 3rd: Solid State Society. This is the third Ghost in the Shell movie and it takes place after the ending of Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig so save this for last. you're in for one hell of an anime trip. The SAC series and the movies are just amazing.

EDIT I started watching Kannagi...the animation for this show is fucking amazing, and I love the overall production style. It's on par with KyoAni as far as I'm concerned. Are any of the other shows A-1 has done notable?

Which has a cool premise but totally goes about it in the wrong way. Also HEAVY GAY UNDERTONES. They also did Birdy Mighty Decode which I've heard good things about.

Great Teacher Onizuka has been rebooted with a new manga that starts up right where the old series ended so far I think there are only 6 chapters but it seems to be on the same level as the old series. So far I have really enjoyed it, has anyone else been reading this? I'm just hoping its going to extend past the 14days or so that is implied by the name. http://www.onemanga.com/GTO_-_Shonan_14_Days/ speaking of which, I just finished the GTO anime, and wow it was way better than I thought it'd be. Almost as good as Golden Boy. I must have missed a lot of classics from the 80's and 90's. If there is any it would have to be something like cam +subs - which IMO is totally not worth it. -- On the subject of old anime I actually can't find myself to watch anything before 2000. I just dislike the animation style from back then, this of course excludes some of the BIG classic stuff like Akira etc.

But at the same time, I also find it incredibly frustrating. Since I'm quite forgiving/easy to please when it comes to the things I watch (to an extent) as long as the arc ends with something interesting, then my mind will probably explode.

Doesn't "Non Camrip RAWs for 2.0 haven't even come out" imply that? Unless you speak Japanese fairly fluently it's going to be hard to get anything out of that though since the language in Evangelion is a lot more complex than you see in other animes. Unless you want to see the action scenes or something.
