If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.gg

For currently airing anime, please see Anichart.net

Pretty good yukata and swimsuits and outfits this time too.

I think I didn't even do a thing, I just checked at select points to see their [again] new outfits and the end, 1 minute, <10min download thanks to it being lq, done. I like this efficiency thing.

Can anyone tell me if Shangri-la gets any good? I remember stopping at episode 2 when I realized the tranny was getting WAY to much screentime.

the little brother is fine, the girl annoys me lol. i don't mind slow paced series but this dragged on too much =/ if i wanted a whiny, cold female protagonist i'd watch a tsundere anime instead.
i'm not saying it won't get better but it definitely wasn't a very gripping first ep

I've honestly been wondering about that myself...because of my anime-watching habits, I have memberships to a couple online streaming sites (split with my cousin), and a combination of that and my music downloading habits, I have another split membership to megaupload, lol.

It's like $15 for three months or $200 for lifetime, and I was very nearly tempted to do the lifetime...:X

I watch anime in my spare time (which at the moment, I have a lot of). I'm not really an otaku (I don't remember the names of any seiyuus, and don't really collect any anime collectibles or paraphernalia)...just enjoy the shows, lol.

I'll stop watching when I find something new to take up my time, but even then, I'll still probably still watch, just at a much slower pace than I do nowadays.

After my huge anime binge these last 6 months, I'm finally running out of animes to watch. Now I have only a couple currently airing anime's that I'm interested in + higurashi to watch. I think I've watched or dabbled and dropped almost every anime that didn't have horrible ratings. After higurashi I'm probably going to take a long break since I'm going off to uni anyways.

I don't want to stop liking / outgrow anime ever. =[
I've loved it to much.
Sure I'll never get married if I don't stop watching anime... but... srsly.
who needs that shit

@nevake, do you have any sort of anime list?

And yeah, I'm going off to uni too, not sure how that'll affect me.

I started one at that myanimelist.net site earlier today, but I gave up because I didn't think my judgement for a lot of earlier series I watched would be accurate (increasing experience coupled with the fact that I jammed most series during these last months into just a day).

I love anime. No way I'm going to outgrow it. Sure I might take a break once in a while, but different animes just appeal to different parts of me. I can watch DBZ to just reminisce, or watch Evangelion to get an uplifting picture on human nature. Or I can watch Elfen Lied to see how all humans are intolerant. Of course, Miyazaki films are always nice since I can watch them for fun or watch them for meaning

Not really anime related, but Megaupload has been awesome for me the last few weeks (sort of in response to PH's post). I haven't had to wait the 45 seconds for a single download, nor have I hit any sort of download limit. Actually, I did get timed out for 15 minutes after I had 5-6 downloads going at the same time, and over 1GB downloaded already. But other than that, it's been great.

And I don't have anything other than the free membership. This happen for anyone else, or should I just be happy and milk it for as long as I can?

Yeah i just use sites like tehParadox, animebreaker etc. que up a good line up of shit to dl from mu and then dl a few gigs usually around 50 or so pay for 1 months membership and start downloading for a few days. There are also programs that can do the waiting for you etc.
I don't use AIM/MSN/ etc stop asking...

I get impatient and I'm very bitchy about what I watch. I hate having to search around for the best torrent that still has seeds left, I hate having to search around and figure out which subber has the best reputation, and I hate finding out animesuki has taken that particular series off because it's been licensed. T_T.

I use sites like anilinkz and kumby and whatnot to find streams. The worst is when you finally finish downloading a poorly seeded series from like 2002 you REALLY watched to watch only to find out by the end of the second episode that it sucks ass.

I got a megavideo membership just so I don't have to deal with that annoying watch limit.

I prefer the torrent for good animes. If it's something that I just want to try, then I go find a stream. And there are a lot more sites than animesuki with torrents...

I like both torrents and direct download. If properly seeded, torrent are great, as I've had 200 MB downloads finish in 2-3 minutes once the seeders start connecting. However, most downloads will take 10-30 minutes, depending on the format and seeders.

Megaupload is generally quicker (but never crap like Rapidshare - they piss me off more than any other file hosting site) than torrents, it just boils down to torrents being more readily available, usually. I can check a bunch of sites for torrents, and while I think I can search for videos on Megaupload, there isn't a big old anime topic/site dedicated to nothing but posting Megaupload links.

My stream versus download opinion has recently changed. I watched Code Geass with a stream, and that's what started my most recent anime kick. I watched Code Geass, which gave me a hankering for some Gundam, so I watched 00, and around that time the Spring anime season was starting, so I started on Eden and Saki.

I was able to find decent quality streams of both Code Geass and Gundam 00, so I streamed those. And I watched the first episode or two of Saki and Eden via stream, but them the streams that were available to me deteriorated in quality, making it difficult to read the subtitles.

So I started downloading Eden and Saki on a weekly basis, and the other animes I've watched since them I've generally downloaded too.
