I understand tagalog dub whenever the mood of the scene turns dramatic/serious it's actually so bad that i can't take the scene seriously(sometimes i end up laughing instead) but yeah whenever it comes to comedic scene's it's fine (it's prolly not better than the original japanese dub though but sometimes though scene's become more funnier cause of the voice and selection of words) .

Yeah, it sucks for non-comedic scenes. A lot of serious dubbed stuff (anime/ non-anime) sounds cheesy in Tagalog. Also agree with the last part. In terms of english dubs, it's rare that I like any. I really just prefer subtitles.

When I chose dubs over subs than it's because of:
1. I like the english voices more and/or think the japanese voice don't fit the characters.
2. The english VA's are doing a good job.
Pretty easy. I honestly don't get this religious fanatism when it comes to japanese VA's. It's not religious fanaticism. It's just that the quality is seriously like the difference between night and day in the voice actors themselves. You don't get any raw emotion ever from an english VA on any anime, ever. I dare you to find a clip that has this level of raw emotion in a mans voice. I will run through every single tone of their voice if you need to. Not to level that some of them sound like old men rather than teenagers. Some are fucking teamsters in new york or something. The disgusting dub that is pure cringe worthy. agree, I find that the dubs don't convey strong emotions well. I think it's related to the language though what you also mentioned is likely true. Funny dub there, thanks for sharing lol.

It's sad that we probably lost the opportunity for a full out saber fight. Her fight vs Assassin was nothing then she pulled her sword and stroke him down in one slash. Pretty badass but I wanted to see a real fight and now she is out of mana.
