Ok, this episode was seriously cool. Last episode I thought about dropping it but this one was much better. Good action, Abrams aura to cause disaster and catastrophy everywhere around him was hilarious. I'm also digging the world a bit more now. The world-building is going slow but it's there.
I also don't know how the manga is doing in this regard but I think Bones is doing a phenomenal job with the backrounds and designs. Everything looks so freaking cool, abnormal and intriguing.
Huh, so Yu made a friend even if he had to be chained up with him for that... Another character with a generic, tragic backround story introduced. For those who know the manga: How long does this take to end with the build up and start with some serious action?
The pace of Arslan Senki is rather slow, I really can't imagine it to be limited to one season. Anyone knows how many episodes are planned? I do like the anime, it's fairly "serious" without emotion overload (which is rare for animes) and I'm kinda interested to see how things will go.
EDIT: MAL seems to think there will be 25 episodes, which could probably work decently.

Haha yeah, I don't know why I'm still watching, considering I said I won't be watching any bad/mediocre animes for some time. I'm stupid, lol. Probably mostly because people told me it will get better later on and I give them the benefit of a doubt even if I should know better.

Yeah Seraph so far isn't great, however I can see it getting better. Will keep on watching for now.
I actually almost dropped Kekkai Sensen as well, but after reading Miragee's spoiler I also watched it and it was definitely the best episode of it yet.
Well that was super predictable lol. Hit literally every classic fantasy trope. Prostitution, villian pretending to help just to kill them and finally the prophecy stuff. Even has the Vampire Aristocracy. I don't know if I can watch such originality...
If it was executed better maybe I wouldn't mind. The whole first ep was pointless setup that they didn't need at all. Could have just started ep 2 then explored his background throughout the rest of the story instead of shoving it so quickly down our throats we don't even care about any of it. Are viewers so bad that they have to have exposition shoved in their faces otherwise they'll be too confused to continue on the story? Meh pisses me off.
i also sorta watched gunbuster and diebuster, good stuff haha
The actual OVAs, you mean? Gunbuster is sooo good, and Diebuster's ending is the best in anime
yes, only like 6 episodes for each of them. the endings tie in so nicely i have to praise Gainex's genius there really. The moments where the + Show Spoiler +

I like the show a lot. The combination of grungy, mundane city elements with all the supernatural stuff feels pretty good for once. The visual design and direction in general is excellent, really.

Do you mean it's different in the manga?
Yes, mostly in taking things and rearranging the order and taking apart different scenes and combining some of those parts together. They don't have much room to work with so its bound to happen but it has changed a lot of the details in favor of cobbling together a similar big picture in terms of plot.
Man every episode just makes Haruhi look better and better than Nagato. Funny since this is a Haruhi spinoff for shipping nagato and kyon but the Haruhi-Kyon from the episode is so much better than the Nagato-Kyon scenes ever since the start.
