After a pretty long break, I decided to watch some anime again D: I decided to watch "Girls und Panzer" and "Moretsu Pirates".

The german words randomly thrown into the translation, even thought the characters 99% of the time don't utter them are simply killing me D: . But the plot is kinda funny and it's decently well paced. Overall probably a 7.

I had huge doubts about the show at the start. I thought it would be some pretty lame and cheesy 1-episode spin offs, without any over arching plot, but as I watched further, I found myself drawn into it. Although I think Marika didn't fit into the role of the captain of that ship and crew, her awkwardness was often very quickly covered up by nice story and other characters, which made me forget about how much I don't like Marika as the main protag. Anyway in the end I actually had fun watching this, so it's a solid 8. Probably the "best unexpected show" I've watched this year.

Sounds like you got Commie subs. I used Hiryuu, and they didn't Germanize everything, and I'm fairly sure the Horriblesubs version didn't either.

Yeah, that would explain it. Over the past 3-4 seasons Commie became my "go-to" subgroup for shows.

Moretsu Uchuu Kaizoku really have that old school feel. The pacing story and style is like straight from late 90 early 00. There are some amazing moments but also plenty silliness. Not a huge hanakana fan but Chiaki is so good.

Anime adaptation of Jormungand end was better than how it went in the manga. Such is the miracle of good directing and storyboarding I guess. I was skeptical when they stuck it into two eps (instead of one) but I guess they proved me wrong.
